Club parkrun volunteering

Club News
Club volunteering mornings Striders who used to parkrun at the Barrage will recall that as a club we would take over all volunteering duties on occasional Saturdays. Some of the local runs are always short of volunteers, to the point that runs are in jeopardy (not to mention stressed volunteer co-ordinators) and this is a great way for the club to repay league runs and also advertise the club. I have a "thumbs-up" from the committee to organise this on a quarterly basis (3 local ParkRuns and 1 Ropner Sunday Runners) and would like to kick off with Saturday 23rd March at Flatts Lane. After yesterday’s magnificent display of team spirit at both Boro half & the XC don’t forget our food bank run on Sunday 24th March - meeting at the club st 9:45am. It’s an opportunity for all of us to come together to demonstrate our Stockton Striders community spirit whilst giving something back. Please bring donations … usual things like tinned food, cereal, rice, etc either to club on club night or on the day of the run. Run will be about 5k to the community pantry at roseworth or the whole loop onto the community pantry on Norton Road is around 10k. Idea is you carry a few items in a backpack but we will have a support car too … on that note we could do with a volunteer…
