York Bus Afternoon everyone. Well the months of training are done and the main event is less than 7 days away. Hope the maranoia isn’t to bad 😬 Just to confirm that the bus that we leave at 7am from the club. Please be there for 06:50am. Don’t be late or you will be left behind! Departure from York will be dependent on our marathon runners but I don’t envisage much after 15:30, but there is no pressure. Last thing you marathoners need is to worry about being back so don’t worry 😊 We will gather together at the Exhibition Hall on the university campus (marked with the red cross) once you have completed your run. SSAC AGM - this years AGM will take place at 7:45pm on Thursday 21 November 2024 in the club house after that evenings club sessions. Anyone wanting to submit an agenda item must do so in writing to stocktonstriders@gmail.com by Sunday 27 October 2024. The agenda will be shared 3 weeks prior to the meeting. As is normal the London Marathon 2025 club ballot will take place at the meeting. All committee roles are up for renewal/re-electing. York Bus Thank you for all those who have sent over your payments. Just finalising some of the details of times but we will be leaving the club at 7am on the morning and returning returning at roughly 15:30. Departure time will be guided by our marathoners. Fancy being part of the whole XC team spirit but don’t want to run in them? Then we have the perfect thing for you!! League organisers are desperately short of volunteers at the events so each participating club have been asked if some of their members can marshal. The first event will be Acklam on Sunday 6th October and you will be needed from approx 10:30am until 2pm. Duties are mainly marshalling on the course but if you fancy timekeeping Sid is looking for someone to assist him! Please comment below if you can help - no later than Thursday 26th September. Whilst we are still awaiting the confirmation of our London marathon running club place if you meet the criteria below please send your no email to stocktonstriders@gmail.com by Saturday 5th October 2024. Cut off date for minimum sessions attended is 30th September. This criteria will be checked with our attendance records. If you haven’t attended 24 sessions but feel you have exceptional circumstances for this please email the Stockton Striders gmail address so the committee can give consideration to these. The draw will take place as is tradition at SSAC AGM in November.
