Thank you to everyone who came along tonight the the memorial run for Debbie Edwards. As agreed before the run, all the sign up money from tonight’s session will be donated to Alice House Hospice. We received a total of £80 which is a brilliant amount. In addition to this, Gary Edwards, Debbie’s husband; has donated an additional £40. I have agreed along with the committee that the club will be matching the £80 raised through subs, meaning a total of £200 will be sent to Alice House Hospice. Thank you once again for your support, I know Debbie will be looking down smiling. 💙💚 💜 Sam - Chairman.

Hi Everyone, I have been informed that the ever popular NYMAC relays are taking place this year on Thursday 30th May @ Stewart’s Park, starting at 7pm. For those who have not done them before, you are placed in a team of 4, and you run a mile around the park as fast as you can before handing over to your team mate. It is great fun, and an all inclusive event so I would encourage everyone no matter the ability, to take part if you’d like to. I am handing over to Tom Murphy who will be chief organiser this year for the teams. I will also be there on the night to help assist and support. During the summer months of 2023, a few of us travelled to a different Parkrun outside of the local Stockton/Middlesbrough area once a month to experience new events. They proved quite popular as it allowed those who weren’t able to travel the opportunity try out a new event further away as we could arrange lifts and reduce the cost of fuel etc. As the spring is finally here and the better weather is hopefully upon us, and we are less likely to see events cancelled, I plan to start the travels again. I’ve penciled in the 13th April into the diary at Chopwell Woods Parkrun as the first event of 2024. I will post closer to the time travel times and meeting places (usually the club car park).
