SSAC AGM This years AGM will take place at 7:45pm on Thursday 20th November 2025 in the club house after that evenings club sessions. Anyone wanting to submit an agenda item must do so in writing to stocktonstriders@gmail.com by Sunday 26th October 2025. The agenda will be shared 3 weeks prior to the meeting. As is normal the London Marathon 2026 club ballot will take place at the meeting. All committee roles are up for renewal/re-electing. We do have a Members representative vacancy due to Peter Camp stepping down. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter for his support over the last three years and especially for his help with the track. This coming Saturday, 11th October is the next of our social Saturdays this time at Herrington Country Park parkrun. Usual info… Run/walk the course as you wish; the main point is to hang around afterward for a drink, cake or breakfast & have a natter. If you need to be away straight from the parkrun, that’s okay.. just enjoy the parkrun 😃 We do have our spot prizes to give away too 🙌 … I will remember them! We encourage you to wear your Striders colours but this isn’t a requirement to join in. Please note we have had word from the XC organisers of complaints from residents living close to Acklam school, which is the upcoming XC on 5th October, regarding parking making it difficult for those residents to get on and off their drives.  Please use THE ACKLAM GRANGE SCHOOL car park. Accessed from LORDORE GROVE, TS5 8PB.   The Acorn Centre car park is for meeting officials and medics only. Tents and equipment can be offloaded in the Acorn centre car park but the car must then be moved to the school car park. Thanks all. NYSD.

If you need to be away straight from the parkrun, that’s okay.. just enjoy the parkrun 😃 We do have our spot prizes to give away too 🙌 We encourage you to wear your Striders colours but this isn’t a requirement to join in. Whilst we are still awaiting the confirmation of our London marathon running club place if you meet the criteria below, please send your rejection email to stocktonstriders@gmail.com by Saturday 4th October 2025. Cut off date for minimum sessions attended is 30th September.  This criteria will be checked with our attendance records.  If you haven’t attended 24 sessions but  feel you have exceptional circumstances for this please email the Stockton Striders gmail address so the committee can give consideration to these. The Cross Country (XC) season starts on Sunday 5th October, the event being held at Acklam. The XC organisers are asking for names and affiliation numbers of those members wanting to take part. We need to have names registered by 15th September. Please note you do need to be affiliated to participate in the XC. This is only for the Acklam event, we can add participants as the season progresses. Please add names below if coming to the Acklam XC event.

Apologies for the delay in putting out this post.. **Saturday social parkrun** This coming Saturday, 9th August is the next of our social Saturdays this time at Marshal Drive parkrun, Brotton. If I dare say this, it has a very cross country feel to it 🤦🏻‍♀️ Small car park on site but there is street parking available. Never a busy parkrun. Usual info… Run/walk the course as you wish; the main point is to hang around afterward for a drink, cake or breakfast & have a natter. For anyone not been before, we usually go back into Saltburn to the Camfields Espresso & Juice Bar, a short walk from the Cat Nab car park.
