Usual info… Run/walk the course as you wish; the main point is to hang around afterward for a drink, cake or breakfast & have a natter. The Ugly Duckling tearoom has been recommended, there is also a cafe used by Parkrun called the Black Mulberry. We’re going to be spoilt for choice. Saturday social parkrun #2
SSAC social Saturday parkrun no.2 Blyth Links. Considering we were on the coast today, the weather wasn’t bad. It was windy but not blustery; for us at the back we felt it was hard going running up the road side of the course, but nice when on the side of beach huts. Others thought it was “great” & “loved it” 🤔 12 Striders took on the 2.1/2 lap course, mainly flat. As usual, trying to get the club photo proved eventful, we lost John Wilson who was busy warming up. Apologies John, we will make sure you’re in the photo next time. Afterward we visited the Ciccarelli cafe .. the service was amazing! Nice coffees, tea and an assortment of breakfast food, toasted teacake and flap jacks devoured by us…
