Looking forward to our annual jaunt to York tomorrow! Bus peeps don’t forget to bring some layers (old clothes that you don’t mind leaving behind at the start & change of clothing for afterwards). In previous years there has been shower facilities for a small charge but not sure if this is still the case this year. I’d advise you leave all baggage in the baggage area at race village … the bus won’t be there to access until home time! You may want to bring some snacks too - again there are food venders at the race village but queues are long and food on the expensive side! See you all bright & early in the morning Helen

York bus update … bus will leave Stockton Striders at 7am sharp so please if everyone can be there by 6:50am … bus will depart York around 4pm ish. Fare is £13 return … cash only and please have right money as I won’t have any change! Please note if you don’t travel I’ll still need your dosh as otherwise will be personally out of pocket …. Hi all Updates Session subs emails have been circulated. Any issues please reply as per email instructions. Those that recently ordered the blue half zip tops - they will be at the club from Tuesday (11th) for collection. Payment on receipt please, £18, ref is ‘top’. A date for the diary. We are finalising arrangements to host a charity horse race night on Thursday 17th November. Venue will be Moline Cross (Norton Cricket Club). All profits will go to Pancreatic Cancer UK. The significance of the date…it is World Pancreatic Cancer Day. Not an official striders ‘do’ so friends and family will be very welcome too. More details to follow later this week. Thanks Andy J

For those not on FB Ben & Gail Robinson Ben and Gail have asked me to provide the following update. Over the last few weeks Bens continued weight loss and lack of appetite has caused him concern. He has been in hospital since Tuesday 4th having various tests as he needs to maintain a certain level of strength before his chemo starts. As things stand his chemo is still scheduled to start next Monday, the 10th. Ben needs to rest in the interim so could any messages please be posted below or sent direct to Gail for those that have her number. As always I’ve already passed on all our best wishes to both Ben and Gail and they genuinely appreciate all our support. Either Gail or me will provide…
