Tees Barrage parkrun 17/06/17

Club News
Don't forget we need as many Stockton Striders (and wearing club colours) as possible at Tees Barrage parkrun this Saturday as we have a ceremonial handing over of the £500 cheque donated by the club to Tees Barrage parkrun for their defibrillator. They'll be a photo at 8:45am so if we all meet in the car park please If you are not able to run why not volunteer - it's our very own David Murphy as race director so let's get a full compliment of striders helping him! Just email teesbarragehelpers@parkrun.com to let them know.

Fancy trying something different?

Club News
It's that time again! This Tuesday 13th June the 4th NYSD Track and Field meeting of this season is back on. This time it is held at Middlesbrough Sports Village (Alan Peacock Way, Middlesbrough, TS4 3AE) with a mixture of events on offer. You can take part in as many or as little as you like. It is open to anyone of any age or ability and it is based on being non-competitive with the social spirit of Striders being included whether being a track or a field event. (Don't worry, every track event is based on times so you wouldn't run with anyone faster or slower than yourself!) Why not give it a go and see if you can surprise yourself! Feel free to ask people who have already come…

Tees Barrage Parkrun 17th June

Club News
Heads Up... Saturday 17th we are looking to do a Striders group photograph promoting the clubs £500 donation and £235 bucket collections for the Tees Barrage defibrillator appeal. We have an oversized (ish) presentation cheque and will be writing an article for the local media to accompany the photograph. It would be great to see Striders out in force in club colours (vests or t-shirts compulsory please) for the photograph. Could we all meet in the carpark at 0845, fresh faced and looking good! ? Thanks

Automatic Notifications

Club News
To make is easier for everyone to keep up to date with club news etc on the website we have turned on automatic notifications. You will now receive an email, to the address you used to register, each time someone posts on the website. You may need to check your junk mail and set the emails as not junk. You will not be notified if a change is made to a static page so it's still worth checking yourself regularly for any changes. We have done this at the request of club members.

We will now have a first place and runner up in each of the following categories 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. This will apply to both males and females. These categories are in addition to both the overall club male and female winner too. Rules in terms of qualifying races and points scoring remain the…
