Good morning here are tonight’s sessions: (Sub 22 + 22-25) which will be lead by David are doing a fartlek in numbers session. (25-27) which will be lead by Cat are doing 8 x 30s hard with 90 seconds recovery.  (27-30) which will be lead by Angela are doing 1 mile easy, 3 miles tempo, 1 mile easy.  (30-33) which will be lead by Suzanne are doing a tempo run.  (33+) which will be lead by Caroline are doing a stair session.  Remember we are meeting at the bandstand at ropner park, 6.30pm. Don’t forget it’s the athletics tomorrow night at Darlington. The address is :  21 Bourne Avenue , Darlington DL1 1LJ Usual rules apply, it’s 6pm start and if you could wear official vests please that would be great. Also remember that The sessions will start from ROPNER PARK tomorrow and NOT the club house due to the colleges summer ball.  They will start from 6.30pm, and it’s a free night so no money required.   it’s also advised you bring a drink with you along to sessions when the weather is like this, particularly if you know you struggle running in the heat. As always though, runners do take part at their own risk.  Thanks all ?

(25-27) which will be lead by Angela are doing 10 x 20s repeats.  (27-30) which will be lead by Gav are doing a stair session.  (30-33 + 33+) which will be lead by David are doing 200m repeats.  It’s free tea and coffee after the sessions tonight (the last one for a few months!) as always biscuit donations are welcome!  Thanks ?

(25-27) which will be lead by Cat are doing 4 x 1 mile repeats. (27-30) which will be lead by Caroline are doing a pyramid session. (30-33) which will be lead by Zoe are doing an interval session, 1 minute hard, 1 minute easy, 2 minutes hard 1 minute easy, 3 minutes hard 1 minute easy x 2.  (33+) which will be lead by Suzanne are doing a ‘pic n mix’ speed session. Tuesday saw round 4 of the summer track and field series at Middlesbrough. Now at this point I have to say that Mathew Carlingwasn't able to make it. So did this mean redundancies in the S.R.P.D? Not a bit of it - as I was joined by old hands Katie Abel and Andrew Laverick - together with Rachel Carr, who took the plunge and made her track debut. With everyone sensibly giving the hammer a miss, we gathered for the 400 metres. I was first off in heat 2. After coming so close to sub 60 seconds last year I was determined to go one better this time. Running the first 300 metres hard I knew I was close. The last 100 was a struggle though. Don’t forget it’s track and field again this coming Tuesday (12/06/2018). Middlesbrough sports village, on alan peacock way, TS4 3AE. If you could get there for no later than 6.15pm please. Events include the 100m, 400m and 3000m. Also the hammer throw, shot put and long jump. striders vest or tshirt to be worn please and if you know it, please bring your England  athletics number.
