Hi all For those not on Facebook It’s last orders for those wanting tickets to the birthday party on Friday 27th January. If you haven’t already done so please comment below if you want tickets, £10 per person. Deadline for purchases is 8pm this Thursday (19th) as we need to confirm numbers with the caterers. Also any dietary requirements not yet forwarded need to be with us by this Thursday 8pm too. Bottle donations for the bottle raffle would be very welcome. Tea nights are back and planned for both tomorrow (17th) and Thursday (19th), cold weather permitting ! Again biscuit donations welcome. Club Member Of The Year 2022 Plenty of manual votes already cast so thank you. For those not able to attend club sessions this week and next we will  accept email votes. Please read the attached which shows the 5 male and 5 female short listed nominees. Voting by email follows the same rules as manual voting. 2 votes allowed for male and 2 for female, 1st and 2nd choice in both categories. Stockton Striders 8th birthday party Friday 27th January - venue - clubhouse 7pm - finish Tickets are now available. This year we are having a casino theme, roulette, black jack etc but playing with ‘funny’ not real money. There will also be a photo booth too and we will be having a bottle only raffle (donations welcome - any bottle, doesn’t have to be alcohol !). The party will also include our annual awards night presentations for the 2022 race league and for our other club annual awards too (further details to follow). NYSD Cross Country next event  is 15th January at Ormesby Hall. Details are below. We are aware this clashes with the Brass Monkey event, with many of our regular XC runners taking part in this, it would be great if we can still put two teams out. If you wish to take part, please comment below, if this is your first time we will need your DOB and EA affiliation number.

From Amy Gallilee - membership secretary Hello Striders The committee are pleased to announce that we will have a quarterly Striders Newsletter with the first issue being made available on the club website and social media at the end March. It will be made and ran by members of the committee and will be another forum for important club updates to be shared. It will also be a platform for members of the club to share their news. From - Sam Johnston Stockton Striders Club League 2023 Hi All, The club league for 2023 has been finalised! As you can see, some returning favourites as well as some first timers. A mixture of trail and road, and a variety of distances too. We have also selected some ‘free’ events alongside paid ones. There are 17 races in total, your best 8 scores will count. The points will be calculated via the WAVA age grading system as in previous leagues. The league kicks off in just over a month at Ripon (the link has already been circulated) and I will post links in the comments to some races already open. Session Subs In time honoured tradition there will be no charge for December’s club sessions. However I’ve just realised I didn’t issue November’s subs emails in early December - my bad, sorry! During this week November sessions subs emails will be issued with a late January deadline for payment. Moving forward normal service will be resumed, ie, Jan subs emails will be issued in early February. Thanks Andy J

It’s not quite the traditional NYE run but I’ll be running the Teesdale Way around Yarm tomorrow morning if anyone fancies joining me. Running from the Tommy Brown car park in Eaglescliffe at 9am. Comment below if you’re coming so I know who I need to meet - if anyone when it’s this late notice. 🙂 Can be a 5k or 10k run depending on what people fancy. I haven’t ran it for a couple of weeks, but expect it’s pretty muddy so trail shoes advised.
