Message from Tees Barrage parkrun peeps Hope your all getting ready for Saturday morning, get those running shoes out it's almost time to Parkrun ? Stockton striders running club are going to be around in the car parks with buckets to help raise money for our AED so if you have any spare change please pop it into the buckets every little will help ?

Renewal fees for existing EA affiliated athletes are now due. If you have already paid your EA fees to the club we have processed your payment today (the earliest date we are able to for 2017-18). However if your fees are still outstanding can you please make arrangements to pay them at the club as soon as possible. Failure to do this means your affiliation is lapsed and you will not qualify for EA affiliated benefits, race discounts etc.

5KM CLUB TIME TRIAL. Hello all, as a lot of you are already aware, we host 5km club time trials every now and then to help members see how they are progressing. We choose 5km as the distance as that's what our groups at the club are based on. Next Tuesday evening, (4th April) we will be having our first club time trial of 2017. The trial will take place in ropner park. We ask if you could meet by the bandstand by 6.20pm please. At 6.30pm we will do a group warm up , and then we will look to get started by about 6.45pm. No other sessions will be taking place at the club, and this time trial is free - so no need to bring along £1.50!…

Whilst it's the club league race at Ropner Park this Sunday I'm needing to get a few more miles under my belt so planning on doing the run along the new pathway to Preston Park, a lap (or 2) of the park then running back to Ropner Park after the trail run. It'll be a nice easy pace after all the competitiveness of the league race but if anyone fancies joining me just let me know.

In preparation for Tuesday's EGM (6:15pm at Club) please see attached draft constitution for your information.   We ask that as many people as possible attend to ensure the meeting is quorat. As most of you will be aware the formation of Stockton Striders was initiated in Autumn 2014 including our club constitution. As the club has grown & developed significantly since then we (the committee) are proposing some changes to the constitution to ensure it remains fit for purpose. We've been asked if we can help out with volunteers for the Tees Barrage 10k on Monday 1st May. As a club league run there's plenty of opportunity to cheer on your fellow striders :-) I know I've asked before from memory I think there was Kirsty Alderthay, Janice Long? , Zoe Walls & me .... anyone else able to help? Urgent Announcement!! Unfortunately the Relays at croft this pm have had to be cancelled. Seems that nobody has turned up to open the buildings. However Liz has lots of cake so if people still want to meet at Striders at 2:30pm and have an easy run to Liz's for cake that's the plan ?????‍♀️?‍♀️?‍♀️???

Just a reminder folks - free tea and coffee after Thursday (16th March) sessions. Biscuit donations as always very welcome ?.

Important Club Business! As most of you will be aware the formation of Stockton Striders was initiated in Autumn 2014 including our club constitution. As the club has grown & developed significantly since then we (the committee) are proposing some changes to the constitution. In order to do this we are required to give 21 days notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) hence this post. The meeting will take place before the training session on Tuesday 28 March 2017 @ 6:15pm. I've posted the current constitution on here and the proposed one will be added a few days before the meeting. We ask that as many people as possible Stockton Striders AC Constitution October 2014attend to ensure the meeting is quorat. Regards Helen
