League race no.3 Thirsk 10 miler. After the snow midweek who knew what weather today would bring.. surprisingly it felt like March Spring weather! Who would’ve thought that?? Weird. It was perfect running conditions which was a relief to me and Sam who worried we would have a repeat of race hiccups like last year, fortunately this wasn’t the case. Anyhow, we had a brilliant Strider turnout, half are missed off the photo, (apologies) they were probably hunting around for pins for race numbers. Could’ve made a fortune selling pins today.. On arrival, I found out I had not entered 🙈 Me, a league run organiser, had not entered! “I beg to differ” I said as the lady frantically searched the box; I was given the option to pay on…

For those not on FB Hi all February subs emails showing amounts owed will be issued today/tomorrow. Payment by the deadline (29th March) is always appreciated. Would people be interested in a parkrunathon 2023? Possible date 15th July ? With a bit of fundraising chucked in?? For those who haven't taken part in a parkrunathon before basically its running 8 and a bit parkrun courses over the course of a day totally 26.2 miles. You can do as little or as many as you like (its not an official striders event and done at own risk, and you must be realistic with own levels of fitness etc etc). We start at 9am for the only official parkrun of the day then go from venue to venue .... of which are still to be confirmed. Please comment if interested

Canine parkrun mini league 2023 Further to the success of last years runs the overall consensus was heck yes lets do it all again this year! I've looked at the diary so that events don't clash with other league races and drafted the proposed providing a couple of variations and tourism opportunities compared to last years venues. Alfred will be very pleased to know Flatts Lane isn't included Nick and Kay ;-) As ever all runners and canines take part at their own risk and all parkrun rules in relation to running with your dogs must be adhered to.
