If spaces are still available after 4pm on a Tuesday and Thursday then the one session a week protocol we have introduced during this test and learn phase (17.9.20 - 29.10.20) will be wavered. For those not on FB Some members have commented that it would useful to know the number of spaces left on each official club session before booking. Something we will look to address moving forward. Stockton Striders and Stockton Town FC Membership Renewals

Hi all   Membership renewal will be available between 1st- 31st October and will run for six months (until 31st March). Cost will be £10 as opposed to the usual £20 annual subscription. £5 will go Striders and £5 to Stockton Town Football Club.    All renewals should be made on line and payment made via bank transfer. Members wishing to renew who are unable to do so via bank transfer should email stocktonstriders@gmail.com and we will discuss individual arrangements with you.    We accept that with the current covid restrictions in place there is still a degree of uncertainty in terms of the level of official club activity moving forward. That said memberships did lapse on April 1st so we feel the reduced renewal rate is reasonable under the circumstances.…

We’ve received the following e-mail Important Information re NYSD XC season 20/21 .... hi all Following a meeting of the NYSD officers last night a decision was taken regarding the NYSD XC season for 2020-21. In light of the current situation regarding the recent UKA protocols for Covid 19 for XC and the changing rules and restrictions being issued by the government it was decided that we will NOT be holding any NYSD XC meetings this season. This decision was not taken lightly, with the health and safety of athletes, marshals and officials at the forefront of our minds, we feel this is the correct course of action at this time. Clubhouse Etiquette – Covid 19

For those not on FB Stockton Town FC For those Striders using the clubhouse. In lieu of recent government covid announcements members are now expected to wear face masks in all areas of the clubhouse except when sat at tables. To avoid congregating at the bar there is now a full table service in operation for ordering food and drinks. There is also the facility to ‘check in’ for those with the NHS track and trace app. Alternatively members will be expected to sign in manually for track and trace purposes. Thanks Andy J

England Athletics Update 24.9.20

England Athletics Guidance Update: As a result of the new restrictions outlined yesterday by UK government, England Athletics have confirmed that guidance for OUTDOOR club and group activity as well as all types of OUTDOOR competitions for athletics and running is not affected. Good news for us at Striders. Our test and learn programme will continue under existing arrangements unless revised guidance is issued in the interim. Thanks Andy J
