XC league – Whitby 6th March

Club News
**Cross Country Alert** For those not on FB As the cross county season draws to a close we head to Whitby for the last event, this being one of my favourites!! The event takes place on 6th March With this being the last event it’s the last chance for those who signed up, but haven’t taken part so far, to run a fixture this season. A big pull for the Whitby event is the chance to have fish and chips after (or veggie sausage and chips if you are a veggie like me). Myself and Gail Allison-Robinson have discussed the possibility of sorting a minibus for this event for those who are interested in running then heading for food after. Please comment if you are running and if you are…

Was thinking combining it with a bit of parkrun tourism mainly locally but also heading to Suzanne Brodie & Alan’s neck of the woods too? Say if we did one every six weeks (avoiding July and August which in theory is summertime and potentially too warm for dogs to…

Following on from Paul J’s parkrun report

Club News
Fab report and so many happy memories. As a newly formed club, tees barrage parkrun and Allan the then event director were very supportive of us and allowed us to promote Striders to our fellow parkrunners. So many of our past & current members came to join the club on the back of seeing our team spirit & support for all parkrunners not just Striders. Of course we were privileged to have fellow Striders David Murphy as event director and Nigel R, Gail R, Claire T and Angela C as run directors. The support by striders continued over the years especially when volunteers were thin on the ground for the coming weeks parkrun - a shout out on a club night usually meant the rota was full a couple of…
