For those not on FB Ben & Gail Robinson Ben and Gail have asked me to provide the following update. Over the last few weeks Bens continued weight loss and lack of appetite has caused him concern. He has been in hospital since Tuesday 4th having various tests as he needs to maintain a certain level of strength before his chemo starts. As things stand his chemo is still scheduled to start next Monday, the 10th. Ben needs to rest in the interim so could any messages please be posted below or sent direct to Gail for those that have her number. As always I’ve already passed on all our best wishes to both Ben and Gail and they genuinely appreciate all our support. Either Gail or me will provide…

Above are the details for the meeting which takes place at Acorn Centre, Acklam Grange School, Middlesbrough TS5 8QB on Sunday 9th October. Please make your athletes and any spectators aware that NO DOGS and NO SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE SCHOOL FIELDS”. If we have anyone wanting to participate who haven’t already let us know, we will need your URN number and DOB before Friday 7th October.

We need to submit our runners details for Cross Country by September 17th which will only include those runners taking part in the first fixture on 9th October at the Acorn Centre in Middlesbrough. We can add runners through the season so if you can’t make the first fixture there will be opportunity to run at another event. The reason for change to registering as we go, rather than all at the beginning of season, is that across all clubs that entered 35% of runners who registered did not take part. To run in the cross county season you must be UKA registered and have a valid URN. So please comment below if you are wanting to take part in the first fixture on 9th October. Hopefully see a lot…

Message from Kris Allen Hi all Bit of a one for you to deliberate. With the Queen’s funeral this Monday and most being off work, wanted to judge the feeling about doing a run after 5pm once all formalities are complete. From the Barrage choosing your own distance up to a maximum of 10k doing the normal Barrage loop. Dress in celebration of the Queen’s life and her amazing service to our country. Not setting a pace as would like to encourage lots to come including friends and family. Please comment below to judge numbers. One last thing…….bring some pennies and we can raise some money for The Dollies and Ben’s Army 👍🏻 Thanks
