Striders Social Night 🎉🎉 Friday 18th October (York marathon and 10M weekend). Pizza and quiz night in the clubhouse. Half seven start. Tickets on sale from this Thursday - £5. Would be great to see you all there !

Had great fun at Stockton Striders inaugural plogging event 😁.... 24 Striders split into 3 teams set off from Ropner Park with the remit to collect as much rubbish as possible in a 40 minute timeframe ... team A came back on time with 2 bags and a traffic cone 🙄 retrieved from Grangefield area, Team B used their local knowledge & headed to the six fields & ‘brickie’ bringIng back 4 full bags of litter and finally team C who probably did the greatest distance & arrived back from Fairfield with 2 bags of litter .... meaning Team B were crowned the Ploggers Champions with sweets all round to celebrate - taking extra care not to drop the sweet wrappers on the floor 😊😊😊 The teams all said they’d…

AS you know the Cross Country season begins this month. The season always begins with a relay race at Thirsk, details are attached. Good news - free Striders tea/coffee nights are back on the menu starting this Thursday (12th) after club sessions. To reduce waste member are welcome to bring their own cups/flasks. Biscuit donations on the day would be very welcome. See you there ! Andy J

FAO GNR Bus 2019 peeps. The bus will leave Stockton Town FC at 7:30am prompt so please ensure you arrive by 7:20am to allow time to pay the bus fare/get seated etc. It will depart South Shields at approx 5pm promptly. Fare is £12 return The bus drops us in Newcastle before making its way to South Shields and parks up approx 10 mins walk from the finish area. After the run we will all arrange to meet and make our way to the bus together. Anyone late for the bus will be left behind lol! Please feel free to take picnic stuff etc - whilst bags can be left on the Striders bus I would probably say you'd be best off using the official baggage buses as you will…

After all the fun of today’s Middlesbrough 10k don’t forget there’s still time to enter next Saturdays Great Tees 10k 😊 As it’s held in our home town  we are once again having a stall in the event village to showcase the club. It would also be much appreciated if all Striders taking part wear club colours please. We’ll arrange a group photo before the start - it seems practical to meet near our stall which will be at the event village at the Riverside ... time to be confirmed. Anyone still need to buy club colours - merchandise will be available this Tuesday & Thursday at the club Thank you

Well done to Striders who participated in this years event.  The meeting was moved from February until this weekend and generally numbers were down on previous years - including Striders teams, who fielded one mens team and an incomplete ladies team. Thank you to everyone who participated - even though it wasn't much warmer in August compared to February! Wanted! A Lady of a certain age 😊😊 we’re looking for another lady to join us in the Vet 35+ team (of course we team members only just meet the age criteria 😂😂😂) at the Royal Signal Relays on Saturday at Hetton Lyons Country park for a 2.2 mile lap run. If any ladies of a slightly younger age category wants to join in I’m sure we can change our team category still. Official club vest & EA affiliation a must. Ladies race is at 12pm but ever sociable that we are we’re heading to Herrington Country Park parkrun than having a leisurely breakfast before heading to Hetton Lyons park.
