HI folks. The XC at Richmond on Sunday has been cancelled due to the forecasted storm over the weekend. It is a very exposed site and probably a very sensible decision as I was already thinking we may not be able to put the tent up. sorry, next XC is Croft on 1st March. Liz x

Ormesby Hall XC

Club News
What a cracking XC at Ormesby Hall yesterday. Over 20 Striders turned out in the beautiful sunshine to brave the frost and mud and incredibly everyone stayed upright in some challenging conditions. Thankfully our two 'newbies' thoroughly enjoyed the day and hopefully will make it to the next event at Richmond. Thanks to everyone who helped us pack up at the end and yes we are still trying to get the mud out of everything!! Results are attached below2019-20 NYSD Results Ormesby Hall

Aclam XC results

Club News
Afternoon all, results from yesterdays XC at Aclam are attached. Although this course was run in October it felt very different yesterday with more slippery mud on the uphill sections to really sap the energy from the legs and some nice cold muddy standing water for added authentic cross country feel!! We managed 8 ladies but sadly only 5 men so no team placing for the men but ladies placed 7th keeping us mid field. Special congratulations to Emily Palmer who was 11th lady overall and 5th in her age group. Kay Stokes continues to lead the V60 ladies so excellent running all round. Next XC is 19th Jan at Ormesby Hall so perfect opportunity to run off a few more Christmas calories and get some great strength training too.…

The ladies team finished in 6th place and the men in 8th place and Kay Stokes was 1st in her age group so excellent running all round. Results are attached below. The next Xc is 8th December but not at Summerhill as advertised but will be at Acklam again. Details to follow as soon as I have them2019-20 NYSD Results Fox Rush

Whitby Results

Club News
Probably the best turnout for a recent XC from Striders with 14 ladies and 8 men competing yesterday, with lots of support from various families too making for a lovely sociable afternoon. The weather even decided to play nice and the rain showers passed before the start. The course was surprisingly dry considering the recent weather. I think everyone enjoyed their run although not everyone would admit it at the time! I am certain though that we all enjoyed our fish and chips in Whitby after. Results are attached and well done everyone on some excellent times placing the club 6th in the ladies teams and 9th in the men's teams. Fox Rush Redcar is our next event on the 24th of November. I know this clashes with the Gavin…
