For those not on FB - post from Sam Johnston Morning Everyone, As you know tomorrow (26th) there are no official club sessions as it’s our naked run event at the tees barrage. Booking for this event will be on magnapass as usual, and the link will be available later on today. We will make sure there are enough booking slots available so everyone can book on that wants to. As explained previously, a naked run is where you run without sight of a watch and you try run as close to your predicted time as possible. NYSD AGM agenda item re gender equality in XC locally

Further to the post some weeks ago in response to comments regarding gender equality in XC at a local level, as promised we have requested the item be included at the NYSD AGM next month. Gail Allison-Robinson and myself are attending the meeting on behalf of SSAC committee. Update for Cross Country event #2 24/10/21 Fox Rush Community Woodland. Redcar. Sat Nav post code TS10 5PZ For any first timers, look for the Strider flag and tent, baggage can be left there whilst you run. Please arrive with enough time to collect your number before your race. Lots of Striders taking part in this one , so far 9 ladies and 7 men. We might need a bigger tent !😄 See photos below with details of race times, running routes and parking. Stockton Strider colours to be worn and we have spare pins for your race number. We will have post run refreshments available, again to save on waste, please bring your own mug. Run and talk – charity donation

For those not on FB Hi all 46 attendees at tonight’s run and talk sessions. The committee have agreed that the club will match the subs total meaning £92 was the total collected. Topped up by a further £8 means the club will be donating £100 to a local mental health charity. A great effort. Thanks to everyone that was able to attend the session and those who stayed back for the tea and coffee. With a great selection of cakes and biscuits tea and coffee nights are now very much back on the agenda. Andy J

For those not on FB Run & Talk - Thursday Following on from Liz’s post earlier this week. Whilst enjoying the free tea, coffee, biscuits and a good old natter in the clubhouse on Thursday the plan is to put the club merchandise on show. Whilst we only hold limited stock we can place orders as necessary with our suppliers. In addition to the traditional training vests, t-shirts, hoodies and sundry items we will also be taking orders for training tops with reflective club logo and lettering. Ideal for the dark club Tuesday and Thursday night sessions. The reflective tops will be available in vests (worn over a skin), short sleeved and long sleeved options. No cash needed on Thursday. Session meeting point arrangements

For those not on FB Hi all It now understandably is too dark to meet on the grassed area in front of the college on official club session nights. With immediate effect unless advised otherwise official club session meeting points will now be in the clubhouse. Conscious of current government Covid advice on meeting indoors members are encouraged to arrive in the clubhouse no earlier than 1825 hours on club session nights. Sessions will start 1830 prompt. Members happy to meet in the clubhouse from 1825 hours will be directed to their session meeting point. As the club continues to return to some sort of normality post covid, plans are underway for this years AGM. This has been arranged for Thursday 18th November 2021 in the studio at Stockton Town FC at 7:45pm. An agenda will follow in the next couple of weeks but if anyone wishes to submit an agenda item please e-mail stocktonstriders@gmail.com by Tuesday 26th October please. As we approach our 7th anniversary we now  have a number of vacancies post covid on the committee and feel therefore the time is right to reflect on its roles and responsibilities.  Therefore it is proposed to reduce the size of the current committee membership from 15 to 10, but with with a wider portfolio for those 10.  Whilst statutory roles continue - Club Chair,…
