A few people asked last night about running this Sundays NYSD XC at Preston Park. As long as you are EA affiliated to Stockton as your 1st claim club and wear club colours at the run that fine. The club pay the entry fees. Liz Jordan & Jerry are our fab team managers ??. Please comment here if running so they have a bit of a heads up .... ladies race is 12pm and men’s 12:30pm

Just on with XC prep for Sunday's event at Preston Park. So far I have the following willing to marshall ...Timings will be confirmed but thinking approx 9 am for course set up and 10:15 for other marshalls. Have I missed anyone?? Don’t forget those Whitby XC peeps who are getting the bus - it’s 9:45am (sharp!) departure from Stockton Town and approx 10:15am at the co-op garage near Guisborough for our Striders buddies living in that neck of the woods ??

Bus leaves Stockton Town at 9:45am - one pick up at Guisborough (near co-op petrol station on the by-pass Road) at 10:15am ish. Will be stopping in Whitby itself for fish & chips after XC before heading home. Bus fare is £7pp please ? For those doing Preston Park Run - I've already posted the XC lap route but this is the longer run bit if you want to do it :-) basically its run along Yarm to Blue Bell go down steps at right hand side of Blue Bell entrance then turn left and follow the path right along a far as you can go to the wooded area before the golf course (keeping the river on your right) then a nice run up the little incline (?!) brings you out at Sunningdale housing estate and then back to Yarm Road and Preston Park .... easy peasy .... well apart from the mud and the hill lol https://www.walkjogrun.net/routes/current_route.cfm?rid=88109BCD-B921-BB5C-28F22ABDAF0EC493

XC reccie at Preston Park tomorrow - meeting at Preston Park overflow car park at 8:30am. Will need trail shoes! Option to do additional mileage along Teesdale Way so will be 6-7 miles in total if only doing one lap of XC route. Please post here if you’re coming along .....
