Club Sessions – Updates

Club News
Morning, Just some updates for you all regarding upcoming club sessions. As you know tomorrow evening is our mock cross country event at Cowpen Bewley. Whilst there is parking available at the park, I would strongly recommend car sharing where possible as it’s not the biggest of car parks. We had originally planned to not have any sessions this Thursday due to the ongoing works on Bishopton Road West. However, these works have been completed ahead of schedule (when has that ever happened!) and access to the club is open. Therefore, this Thursday there will be an all inclusive track session at the club that members can book onto if members wish to do so. Tuesday 12th August, Stockton Town have a home league match so meeting there will be…

Stockton Striders Members Feedback Survey

Club News
(Sorry another post from the committee this morning! 😅) Hi All, The committee have met recently and we have created a short survey that we are encouraging members to fill in, to give us some feedback on how the club is doing. It won’t take much of your time to fill in, and it is all anonymous. We hope that the feedback we receive, will help us shape the direction of the club going forward. The survey will be open for the entire month of August. The committee will then meet in September to discuss the feedback, and we will provide you with an update then. Please find the link to the survey below. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAP0vjRA5HBwsH_SObOV_pzc0VvHwFLHQ1qI8A_9g4nzHyIA/viewform Kind Regards Sam SSAC Chair & on behalf of the Committee

Club News
Stockton Striders Cross Country Taster Session Hi everyone, On Tuesday 5th August, we will be hosting a Cross Country Taster Session at Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park, ahead of the cross country season starting in October. The purpose of the session is to give members who have never tried cross country a feel for what the events are like. However, seasoned XC pros are encouraged to come along too, to take part and share their experience. The course is on trail and will be between 3.3 and 3.5 miles. There will be marshals on the course and a tail runner. Once entries for the session have closed on Gymcatch, we will assign race numbers to all runners and divide participants into teams of 3 or 4. We will try and make…

Ben Robinson Memorial Run – 17/8/25

Club News
Date for the diary - Ben Robinson tribute run Hard to believe but it is approaching two years since Ben sadly passed away. In his memory and as a fitting tribute the annual Billog killer 10k (Bens favourite route) or Billog 5k social runs will take place this year on Sunday 17th August. For those wanting to attend the meeting point will be Norton duck pond at 0930. If the weather is good the plan will be to have a brew (and cakes) on the grass bank next to the duck pond near Ben’s memorial bench afterwards (similar drill to last year). More details will follow nearer the date. Thanks

Important – Temporary Upcoming Change to Schedule

Club News
Good Evening, There will be a change to the usual Strider’s schedule from Monday 28th July for 2 weeks. Bishopton Road West will be closed from this date for gas works/repairs which will lead to major delays and traffic chaos outside the club. Therefore, we have taken the decision to not meet at the club for them two weeks. We will still be offering sessions on Tuesday 29th July , Thursday 31st July and Tuesday 5th August at different locations. There will be no sessions on Thursday 7th August. We will then meet at the club as normal from Tuesday 12th August when the works are done. Thank you
