Afternoon,
We have received confirmation that the summer edition of the NYMAC relays will be taking place on Thursday 28th August. Who could forget the spring edition which saw us have 9 teams represent us and our ladies team taking first place overall! 🥇
Entry for teams has to be done on Saturday 9th Augus, therefore – we need teams sorted and finalising for this date.
For those not familiar with the relays, it’s four runners per team, and it’s 1 mile around Stewart’s Park, Middlesbrough. They start at 7pm, but members are asked to get to the park no later than 6.45pm to allow time to get your number, and be informed who your team is.
It is completely free to take part – but club colours must be worn. We can run with all men / all women and mixed teams too and it is open to all abilities so I would encourage you to put your name down no matter your ability!
If you are interested – please can you let me know by commenting on this post so I know how many teams we need to enter. The deadline to let us know by, will be Thursday 7th August. This will then allow us time to sort the teams out and enter them.
We have always had great representation and success at the relays so it would be lovely to see more of the same this time round. In addition to the above, there will be no other club sessions/activities taking place on Thursday 28th August.
