 For those not on FB - from Sam Johnston Sunday Social - Hi all, I know we have runners taking part in cross country this weekend (good luck team!) but for those who aren’t I am planning on a run from the club. Starting at 9am the route will be 11 miles with a cut off at 7.5 miles back at the club for anyone not wanting the full 11. Pace will be 9 minute miles. Drum roll please....... 21 women and 16 men completed 5 rounds or more of the 5k mini league.  Thanks everyone for taking part and we hope it had the desired effect in terms of self motivation over the last 2 months.  Attached are final league standings and huge well done to Lynsey Edwards and Steve Cotton.  The striders pens are on order!!! Hi all Just to confirm. Club sessions will recommence this Tuesday (4th). The committee are very conscious of the current Covid situation and we will continue to follow government guidelines (updates due midweek I believe). Until advised otherwise session meeting points will be in both the clubhouse and also outside the main entrance. Please use which option you are most comfortable with. In lieu of this there will be no formal club announcements other than to confirm coaches for each session. Those kindly covering the door will also be offered the option of where to base themselves during club sessions. January tea nights may also need to be postponed too. Again we will be guided by government advice as the month evolves. Thanks Andy J

A message from Ben Robinson…. Many moons ago when Gail & I joined Stockton Striders AC we met people who we are now proud to call close friends. Through these friends and the club we’ve learned of their ups and downs in life be-it themselves, close friends or relatives. For a long time now I have been working on a song, with lyrics which will mean something to runners, not just in this club but in every running club. I am hoping that once this song comes together, (for which we need your help but that comes later so keep reading), copies of it will be bought not just by our club but by other runners too and the money raised will go to charity. Hi all - 5k mini league “It’s the final countdown” to coin a well known tune. Round 8 (the final round) deadline for 5k times is 8pm tomorrow (Thursday 30th). Final league standings will be posted on Monday 3rd January. message from Kris Allen - Sunday Socials 2nd January Hi all Despite my best efforts to ignore it, Manchester Marathon looms close on the horizon 🙈. With this in mind, I’ve planned this weeks social this Sunday as a half marathon. Rather than starting from the club, we will start and finish at the Tees Barrage. Suggest we meet at the Serpentine Car Park (the one before The Talpore car park) at 08:55. Pace will be around 9 to 9 1/2 minute mile pace. As always, all welcome.
