For those not on FB Hi all Annually we remind members of the Club Code of Conduct. For obvious reasons this last 18 months this has somewhat slipped through the net. However with the club now functioning at something like normality and the XC season upon us now seems like a good time to promote this very important matter.   For those, not on FB, post from Sam Johnston Sunday Socials Morning everyone! This Sunday a few of us will be doing a 10 mile run from the club. Pace will be 9 minute miles, meeting at 9am. Please coming along if interested. Good luck to those taking part in the first XC of the season, I’m sure you’ll all do a great job!

Hope you wont mind me posting this but this Sunday I am running (well run/walking) Kielder Marathon and raising funds for The Trinity Holistic Centre a charity very close to Striders very own Paula Radcliffe lookalike Debbie Edwards as she continues her treatment for breast cancer. As ever she is doing this with the strength and courage just like she does with her running, not letting any barriers get in her way! In a true testimony to our club ethos when Sue Russell heard I was doing the marathon as a billy no mates she messaged me to say she wanted to do it with me - a thank you for all the support she had when training for her first marathon and for Debbie too. Extra Long Post Alert For those not on FB Club Updates - October Hi all From Tuesday 5th October we will be reverting back to our traditional two all groups sessions a week. All Tuesday and Thursday sessions will start at 630 pm and bookings will continue to be made via MagnaPass. For the time being we will continue to meet on the grassed area in front of the college unless advised otherwise. As the nights are now drawing in members attending sessions are urged to wear high viz/light/reflective clothing. Be seen, be safe. Due to the impending dark nights no group sessions will be held on the track until spring 2022. However, in addition to Tuesday and Thursday official group sessions we are exploring track availability for members use…

Please remember….tonight’s club sessions, • 25-27 and 27-30 groups only you are meeting track side at 6pm. • 30-33 you are meeting at Ropner Park bandstand at 6:30pm. • Everyone else meeting at 6:30pm in your usual spots. Thanks Andy J

For those not on FB Striders Pizza/Quiz Night Friday 1st October Thanks to all those who have confirmed their attendance and have already paid for their pizza/quiz tickets. We will accept cash on the night but those that want to pay via BACS to the usual Striders account you are still welcome to do so. Please let us know asap if you can now no longer make it. This will help with finalising team numbers. Please arrive from 7pm onwards, pizza at 745 pm (ish) and the quiz starts at 815 pm (ish). The pizzas are ordered and the questions are written.
