SESSION CANCELLED Hi All, We have taken the decision to cancel tonight’s track session. The rain is coming down hard and the track and field is starting to accumulate surface water. I’ve had a message from STFC to say they are thinking of cancelling their training for the night too. Back to normal from next Tuesday folks! Thanks 😊

Afternoon, Please see below results from Thursday night’s NYMAC relays. In May 2018 a quartet of Lloyd Ryan, Paul Johnson, Phil Swash and Matty Carling ran a combined time of 20.59. Since then, many have tried to take it down but were unable to do so. It was getting to the point where that record looked unbreakable but a huge congratulations to our team consisting of Tom Murphy, Liam Watson, Luke Isadore and Jordan Wilson who ran a combined time on Thursday of 20.51 - a new SSAC all time record! Congratulations are also in order for our ladies team of Emily Palmer, Emma Fleming, Lily Wilkinson and Izzy Morgan who finished in a brilliant 2nd place overall in the female category. Morning All, Don’t forget - there are no club sessions taking place this Thursday as we will be taking part in the NYMAC relays. The relays are set to start at 7pm, Stewart’s Park, Middlesbrough. Can I ask that if you are running to get there no later than 6.30pm. This will allow time for you to come and find me, get your number; and have a team photo before they start. I would also advise car sharing where possible as it gets very busy there! Please remember that official club colours must be worn. Parkrun Report - "The Paul Johnson Special" All statistics have been checked against available records and verified where possible. Yesterday (Saturday 23rd Aug 2025) marked a very special milestone for my good friend: club coach, mentor, and dare I say it ‘Striders legend’ – Mr Paul Johnson. That’s right, we celebrated his 300th attempt at beating my Parkrun personal best!
