Thursday 19th April Training Sessions

Good morning here are tonight’s sessions:  (Sub 22) which will be lead by Paul are doing a warm up followed by a social 5km (option to increase pace) and then a warm down. (22-25) which will be lead by Caroline are doing a meet and retreat session at the park.  (25-27) which will be lead by Cat are doing an interval session. (27-30) which will be lead by Gav are doing a 4 mile social run.  (30-33) which will be lead by Suzanne are doing a tempo run. 1 mile easy, 2.5 mile tempo followed by another mile easy. (33+) which will be lead by David are doing a 3 mile run at around 11.30-12.30 minute mile pace.  Thanks all ?☀

Thursday 12th April Training Sessions

Good afternoon here are tonight’s sessions: (Sub 22) which will be lead by Paul are doing 2 x 2 mile repeats in the park.  (22-25) which will be lead by Liz are doing 1 minute hard, 1 minute easy x 20 (25-27) which will be lead by Cat are doing 2.5 mile easy, 1.5 mile tempo and then another 1 mile easy.  (27-30) which will be lead by Caroline are doing 400m intervals. (30-33) which will be lead by Gav are doing an interval session designed to help members with the upcoming Neptune relays.  (33+) which will be lead by Helen are doing hills (Progression) which will be lead by David are doing 5 x 3 minute repeats Thanks all ?

Barrage Recce Run

Club News
Tuesday 24th April. 2 weeks today there will no sessions on at the club, as we will be doing an all abilities recce run for the Tees Barrage 10km which is the following week. This gives runners a chance to either get to grips with the course, or get a good training run in before the event. As well as this we will also have an all abilities 5km, and an all abilities interval session taking place too. We will meet where the parkrun usually starts at 6.30pm so people can get into their respective groups. Please park in the talpore carpark NOT the Tees Barrage carpark as this will close whilst we are out running. Thanks and hope to see many of you there ?

Good morning all here are tonight’s sessions:  (Sub 22) which will be lead by Sam are doing 5 x 5 minute repeats at varying pace.  (22-25) which will be lead by Liz are doing a stair session at ropner park.  (25-27) which will be lead by Cat are doing 2 Miles out with striders followed by 5 x 3 minutes at 5km pace with recovery.  (27-30) which will be lead by Caroline are doing hills.  (30-33) which will be lead by Fiona are doing a 5km trail run, (wear long clothes ideally to avoid any nettle stings!)  (33+ + Progression) which will be lead by Suzanne are doing a pyramid session.  It’s free tea and coffee after the sessions tonight as well , thanks ?

(25-27) which will be lead by Cat are doing 1 minute intervals with negative splits. (27-30) which will be lead by Angela are doing a tempo run, 1.5 mile easy, 2.5 mile tempo, 1.5 mile easy. (Suitable for 25-27 members as well) (30-33) which will be lead by Angela are doing a speed session. 800m x 6. Sport Relief 22nd March

Club News
This coming Thursday (22nd March) we will be doing our annual ‘naked run’ for sport relief. For those of you that haven’t done this before it’s where you run a particular course without a phone/watch to record your time. Before running you will write down a predicted time as to what you think you’ll run the course in, and then once everyone has finished, whoever is closest to their predicted time wins.. simple as that! The course will be revealed on the night, and all £1.50’s will be donated to sport relief. We will also have free tea and coffee after the event, any cake and biscuit donations will be welcome as always!
