NYSD - Cross Country 2024/25 Please see the below proposed dates for the upcoming NYSD cross country season. Other cross country events/championships are also included below, if any of the dates change, we will let you know ASAP. 1. Sunday 6th October Acklam 2. Good Evening, It’s that time of the year again when a football tournament is coming up…. The striders sweepstake! For those new, the last few tournaments we have done a football sweepstake with the top 3 taking home some prize money! £2 to play, there are 24 teams, you can have one more than one team if you wish, as we can run more than one sweepstake. IMPORTANT - NYMAC Relays Morning everyone. If you are taking part in the NYMAC relays, please see below info. The relays take place this Thursday night at Stewart’s Park, Middlesbrough. The official start time is 7pm, however they have notified us that they would like the first runners to be ready near the start line at 6.50pm. Official club colours must be worn. That’s the striders vests or the light green tops (PLEASE DO NOT WEAR THE BLUE TOP FOR THIS EVENT). Whilst there is plenty of parking, I’d strongly advise car sharing where possible and getting there for 6.30pm at the latest. Tees Barrage Time Trial – 16/5/24

On Thursday we are hosting a 5 mile time trial event at the Barrage. This is a good opportunity to push yourself and see how fast you are over 5 miles on a traffic free route. ⏱️🏁 The route will be shared over the next couple days once I know how many marshals we have. If you are not interested in running but would like to volunteer as a marshal please comment below, it would be massively appreciated! 🙌🏻 The run will take place at 18:30 on Thursday. Good morning, here are tonight’s sessions: (Sub 22) which will be lead by Tom are doing a Fartlek session. (22-25) which will be lead by Lucy are doing a stairs session. (25-27) which will be lead by Angela are doing 2 x 2 miles at goal 10km pace followed by 2 x 800m repeats at goal 5km pace. (27-30) which will be lead by Helen are doing a hills session. (33+) which will be lead by Anna are doing a interval session. Christmas Night Out !

Important Annoucement : Hi all, as you know every year striders have a Christmas night out and this year is no different. We always get a big turnout and I’m guessing this year will be the same!  The due is Saturday 15th December. We are meeting at 7pm in the Hambletonian pub. We won’t move on to the next one until around 7.45-8pm to allow people time to get there.  A few of us will be heading off to the casino after the pubs (as is tradition?). If you want to come along please remember to bring ID with you, no matter how old you are ..
