Hey folks as part of my ultra training I need to do a marathon distance training run this Sunday so plan on breaking it down into 2 half marathon distance chunks. Some of my fellow running buddies are very kindly joining me for this at Wynyard walkway this Sunday (decided to stick with this venue). The plan is to meet at 7:50am in the car park to get sorted and to leave the platform at 8am to run up to the reservoir and back to the car park or however far needed to do the 13.1 miles. Hi all Whilst it was great to see so many Striders at Saturdays Albert parkrun it’s been brought to our attention by the event director that it appears not all members may have had their barcodes with them and were requesting that they be added to the results manually. As you know parkrun operate a strict no barcode no time policy at every single parkrun therefore we ask that all Striders respect this, whichever parkrun you are attending. So many of you kindly volunteer at parkruns in our region and will appreciate the position such a request put the volunteers in when having to say no to the individual. We could have hung on and checked in the morning, but thought that by making an announcement early everyone can make alternative plans, even if that's just to turn the alarm off and have a nice lie in while the storm passes. For all you club league peeps don't forget to make sure your parkrun profile has you listed as a Stockton Strider in time for Saturdays league run at Albert parkrun!

England Athletics have confirmed that only if you have NOT been affiliated anywhere before & are now taking up EA affiliation for the 1st time if you join between now and the end of March it will run until the end of March 2021 at no extra cost ... so basically pay £15 now and that’s you sorted until the end of March 2021 😊👍🏻 ... you just need to hand over the dosh at the club & we’ll do the rest ....
