EA affiliation

Club News
IMPORTANT Some of you will have received an e-mail from EA re your affiliation renewal. Just a reminder it is entirely up to you if you choose to renew or not but if you choose not to, you CANNOT enter any competition or race (even for next year) as an affiliated runner as your affiliation will have lapsed. You can still renew after 31 August but will still need to pay the full £15 fee for the remainder of the 20/21 season ... this is an EA rule not a Stockton Striders one! Instructions on how to renew your affiliation have previously been posted here. Please note the  club renewed its own club affiliation fees as normal in April so all associated insurances/policies/ processes are not affected.

Cleveland Stay Relays – Information and Teams

Club News
Message to From Tom Day Just to clarify these are the Cleveland STAY relays - the places in the legs are just there for purely for information. What we are asking you to do is to run the distance of the leg locally and not on the Cleveland Way as there will be no one else about etc and the risks are high. In terms of elevation - if you can add an little elevation when staying local then go for it, but that is just a small element The main idea is to have a bit of fun running the same distance overall but locally. Teams are as the PDF document link below If you feel you need to change the ‘leg’ you are down for please communicate with…

Important Update – Covid19 guidelines

Club News
As per last weeks post the committee met (virtually via zoom) last night to discuss a couple of things. First on the agenda was the clubs current situation in relation to Covid19 restrictions. Given the Governments and EA current guidance, and the fact that Stockon Town FC are not planning on making any decision on returning until at least July which obviously impacts on Striders, the committee have taken the decision that for now unfortunately all formal Striders sessions remain cancelled and the club closed. In line with EA guidance Lee Buckle has agreed to be the club's Covid Co-ordinator and will liaise with coaches, members and the committee to formulate a safe and planned return when the time is right. In the meantime we will continue to plan some…

It is likely to change at short notice; in which case we will publish updates through the England Athletic website and our social media channels" This means that the club remains closed at this time and we will keep you informed of any updates in the coming weeks.
