Run reports
32 Striders used their golden tickets to enter the Uk's most exclusive parkrun this week. The Grange saw Chloe Turner reach run number 50. Michael Meggs led the field home in a new pb. Abby Barker (2nd overall and70%+), Holly Taylor and Emma Fleming (pb) were our first 3 ladies home. Jill Abel, Gail Robinson, Amy Gallilee, Tony Gallilee and Helen Johnston also recorded new pb's. Thanks to Simon and Sue Russell for your help in making it happen. Elsewhere, when Caroline and David Horton were listed as running at 'Canyon Rim Trail' - I immediately thought 'tourism award'. Sure enough, on closer inspection, Canyon Rim is in Idaho, USA. Caroline finished 3rd overall. Back in Blighty, Craig Morgan pb'd at Albert and Gareth Maloney got 70%+ at Darlington. Striders…

Important training group update

Club News
Starting from Tuesday we will be trialing splitting the 22-25 group. This means there will be 3 groups to replace groups 1 and 2…. Sub 21, 21-23 and 23-25. The other 4 groups from 25+ will remain unchanged. If you usually train in groups 1 or 2, please choose the group most appropriate to your current 5k pace. We have done this due to the size of the 22-25 group. The only exception will be for track sessions where 21-23 and 23-25 will join as one group. This will be clear when you sign up. Thanks

Closer to home it was another warm and windy morning. Making light work of the conditions at Hartlepool were Doreen Morris, Izzy Morgan and Steve Cotton. Doreen got a new pb, Izzy was 2nd lady home and Steve recorded a 70%+ age-grading. There was one other podium finish - and that went to Holly Taylor who was 2nd lady home at Northallerton. Striders too at Albert, Windy Nook, Redcar, Stewart, Darlington, Hackworth, Flatts Lane, Potternewton (Leeds), University of Stirling and Whitby. Paul J

It was a warm and windy weekend for our runners. At Hartlepool Steve Mitchinson made it to parkrun number 250 - with Steve Cotton and Ben Robinson recording 70%+ age-gradings. Albert Park saw Stevie Cooper and Simon Russell also get 70%+ a-g's and Michael Meggs a 2nd place finish. Izzy Morgan was first lady to finish at Sedgefield. Our only pb of the day went to Holly Taylor at Letchworth. Holly having the added bonus of being 2nd lady home. Striders too at Black Park (Slough), Redcar, Stewart, Monsal Trail (Bakewell) and Jubilee. Pleased to see we got a team out for the Cleveland Way relays on Sunday. I hope everyone was able to finish their legs - and Mick and Ben didn't get swept out to sea on leg…
