Paul’s weekend report

Run reports
Plenty to report on this week with a successful charity race night on Fridayfollowed by a big club turnout at the Wynyard Woodland parkrun on Saturday. I've read Andy's post regarding the amount of money raised for PCUK over the 2 days. Thank you to everyone who took part and donated. On Friday some people seemed to have more luck than others. Sharon and Sue were regularly leaving our table to collect winnings. Dan M won one of the main prizes - confidently collecting his award whilst taking in the applause, signing autographs and posing for selfie requests.  My dear friend Dave Fender was having no such luck until the coin throwing challenge. His throw was winning until Jennie J entered the arena and confidently beat it. Dave was inconsolable.…

Matron looked worried when I checked in to see how my dear friend Dave Fender was doing on Saturday. On entering Dave's room our worst fears were realised. He was missing... The Wynyard parkrun was cancelled this week due to the weather. Eight Striders took a trip to Millfield in North Yorkshire for the first time. It's described as a mixture of tarmac, trail and grass. With Grant Mcgrath present we'll soon be able to see how it all went on YouTube. A further five Striders went to Greenfield Valley near Chester. Abby Barker (70%+ age-grading) led the entire field home. Nice one Abby. Not far behind were Emma Fleming (70%+) as 2nd lady to finish and Izzy Morgan as 3rd. Striders too at Albert, Stewart, Darlington, Hartlepool, Flatts Lane,…
