Run reports
25 Stockton Striders turned out at various parkruns this weekend with members turning out at Tees Barrage, Sedgefield and Darlington. I guess that means the tourist of the week prize would go to the Darlington contingent but the real prizes were the points that were up for grabs in the 4th event of the club league at Tees Barrage. 22 Striders toed the line at a breezy barrage in search of points and the added incentive brought out new PBs for David Fender, Paul Johnson, Nigel Radcliffe, Darren Mitchell, Katie Abel, Paul Stephenson, Ian Howse and Linsey Spires. David Holmes at Stewart, Andy Hayes at Albert and Craig Robinson at Hartlepool all also got in on the PB act. The prize for tourist of the week goes to Ian Howse who tackled the mountainous Brockenhurst parkrun on the South coast…

Run reports
The weekly ‘parkrun’. Most of you will have heard of them. Some of you will run one occasionally, whereas others are hardy regulars who rarely miss one. The nearest one to the club is at the Tees Barrage (TS18 2QW). Nearby courses are at Stewart Park and Albert Park in Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Redcar and Sedgefield. It’s free to enter - you just go to the website, put in a few details, and print out a barcode. Bring the barcode to the parkrun and, after finishing, it’s scanned to give your time and placing. On the parkrun website you’ll find a host of statistics relating…
