Our club reopens on Tuesday 7th Jan, the sessions are planned, coaches in place.. all we need is you to participate but more importantly to cover the door. Ormesby XC 5th Jan UPDATE…

We have just received information from the XC organisers to inform that the Ormesby cross country has been cancelled.  This is due to an issue at Ormesby Hall; details unknown, however attempts were made to resolve it but to no avail. The next cross country fixture is Whitby on the 5th February.    Details will be posted closer to that time.

This is someone that could’ve excelled in running, given up their time to help the club run and/or been a welcoming figure to newer members and helping integrate them into the club, anything really! 😊 The deadline for initial nominations will be Sunday 29th December 2024, After this deadline, there will be a shortlist of men/women who have received multiple nominations and we will come back out to members to then select their overall winners of this years Ben Robinson and Debbie Edwards member’s member of the year. Social Saturday Parkrun

‼️ LONG POST ‼️ At our recent AGM the league was discussed and due to the club having many new members and 2025 being Stockton Striders 10th year we opened it up to the members present to either do the league or instead to have Social Saturday parkruns. The social parkrun idea won by a unanimous decision. There’ll be no points involved, it’s an opportunity to get to know other striders, there’s no need to wear Striders colours though this is still encouraged and no required number of events to attend. Hi Striders,                                                           The next fixture of the cross country season is upcoming at Summerhill Park. Sunday 1st December. Car parking at English Martyrs School, Catcote Road, Hartlepool, TS25 4HA. Changing and Toilets available (and Cafe may be open) in Summerhill Centre. Ladies race 11.45am start. Re: XC parking for Saturday 2nd November. I’ve been informed that the car park at the Outwood Academy Redcar TS10 4AB will have availability for 60 cars. It opens at 0800am but will close at 3:30pm prompt. There is also the usual parking at Howcroft Ave, Hutton Grove & Hobson Ave. Gail

The Old Mother Shipton Soft Shoe Shuffle 2024 10k distance. *entries are now closed, please check “its Grim Up North” website for information only* Usual league rules.. club colours i.e only official club running vest or green training tops to be worn if you want league points. Anyone with 6 or 7 events already completed will be counted in the league UNLESS you tell us otherwise. You will need this event and or The Poultry Run in December to complete 8. ­ LEAGUE EVENT no.19                       **Sedgefield parkrun**. Saturday 19th October 2024 Usual drill..  club vest or green top to be worn if you want league points. Also, we now have to mention if you haven’t done any of the league events or have done less than 5 it is now too late to join in as we only have 3 events left including this one.  A minimum of 8 events is required to be included in the league. Please would you check your parkrun profile to make sure you have Stockton Striders as your club, this makes it easier to find you when doing the league results.
