League Event #5 Pier to Pier 21/05/23 This event is now fully booked. If anyone is happy to car share please comment below. Can I suggest we meet in the Pier head car park near the Sambuca/soft play building for a club photo 9:30-9:45ish. Here is the reminder of the rules: Every club member taking part in this event is automatically included in the league, if you do not wish to be included, please message Sam or myself to let us know. Cleveland Way Relays 2023

CLEVELAND WAY RELAYS take place 18/6/23 Always popular with our club. The event follows the Cleveland Way from Filey which is a 5am start on the day finishing at Hemsley usually around 7pm. There is the usual 2pm mini mass start at Clay Bank, with a new mass start going off at 9am from Whitby. At this point in time we are just gauging interest, if you want to join in please comment below, if you have a leg you would like to do, let us know. This is open to everyone, ALL abilities do take part. Distances vary from 5k with the longest leg approx 13.6km (8.5 miles). It is a lovely event to do. Congratulations! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 The Striders 2022/23 ladies cross-country team - Emily Palmer, Nicola Darragh, Izzy, Sue King, Maxine Buckton, Emma Fleming, Michelle Ince, Abby Barker, Gina King, Liz Simpson, Charlotte Morgan, Katie Ayton, Lauren Martin, Helen Johnston and Gail Robinson take a bow. I expect you've heard the news... Cast your mind back a year and Striders ladies were in a tussle with Richmond for second and third place in the North Yorkshire/South Durham cross-country championships. They ended up sneaking second place - a fab achievement. Fast forward a year and Striders ladies went in to the final event of the 2022/23 NYSD XC - but this time it was the title at stake. Whitby cross country 2023

And it’s a wrap.. today was the last cross country of the season held at Whitby. The weather conditions were perfect as were the fish & chips afterward. Well done Emma F, Izzy, Liz, Emily & Nicola for the ladies, Jonathan, Matty & Jason for our men.   👏👏👏 Final results are awaited but we believe our ladies will finish in one of the top three positions. A big well done to all our runners today, at the XC, local runs, Saturn Runs, half marathons & marathons. We spread ourselves far and wide. #teamstriders👏👏👏 If anyone fancies the relays at South Park, they take place 26th March. Further details will be posted closer to the event.
