Acklam Cross Country

Club News
1st XC of the season and proper Xc conditions i.e. cool and wet making a lovely muddy course in places which to be honest I love! We managed a ladies team thanks to Kay Stokes who had sadly had to cut her holiday in Wales short or risk the camper van being blown away. The men's team performed admirably with a competition at the end to see who had the muddiest legs. All in all a great afternoon of running with the usual Striders spirit. Well done everyone and roll on Whitby on 4th Nov. Results are posted below with the only mistake I can find being that I am down as Liz Simpson not Liz Jordan (sorry Liz I know you are a lot faster) I have let Sid…

Ormesby Hall Cross Country

Club News
Ormesby Hall cross country won the prize last year for the muddiest course, this year I think it won the prize for the coldest course. The ladies ran first and performed a fair bit of ice breaking. Underneath was a lovely cold wet mud just to keep the men happy. top marks to all the marshals for standing in the cold & later snow warning us of all the icy patches but always cheerful. A truly challenging course and a special well done to the first timers who did not appear to be put off from trying other cross country events. Please find attached the results2017-18 Ormesby Hall results The final event of the season is at Richmond on Sun 18th Feb
