Sunday socials anyone? 9 am prompt meet at Norton duck pond (clubhouse is closed). Plan is ‘about’ 10 miles heading through Norton along the A19 (path not road!) to the barrage. Lap of that then up through Portrack and back to Norton. Pace will be the usual average 9.15 ish per mile. All welcome. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ Andy J

For those of us lucky enough to be off work tomorrow (23rd). Planning a 10 mile social one (5 mile out n back) at Wynyard Woodland Country Park. Meet in the car park (near the cafe) at 0925 to set off at 0930. Pace will be no quicker than average 9.15 ish per mile. Could even stretch to a brew after if the cafe is open. As always, all welcome 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🎄 Andy J    

It’s the Christmas Cracker Relays tonight - meeting at club as normal .... if you have a head torch can u bring it along .... and feel free to wear that Christmas attaire again 🎉🎅🏻🎄😊👍. Free tea and coffee afterwards too.

Due to the club league race and XC on the 24th Sunday socials are being brought forward to Saturday. So if anyone fancies it plan is to meet 8am tomorrow (23rd) outside The Talpore. Seven miles at 9.10 ish pace then straight into TB parkrun (pace is optional) giving 10 miles in total. As always all welcome 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ Andy J

For those not on FB. Social run planned tomorrow (3rd). Club at 850 for 855 departure. Plan is around 10 miles. Run to GRL at Ropner Park, do GRL, then run back to club. Pace before and after GRL around 9.30 per mile. GRL at own pace then all meet at the finish line. Brew and biccys at the club after for those that fancy it. everyone welcome 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ Please note. This is not an official club run - it’s a social run to allow members to chat and put the world to rights! 😀

Striders Social Night 🎉🎉 Friday 18th October (York marathon and 10M weekend). Pizza and quiz night in the clubhouse. Half seven start. Tickets on sale from this Thursday - £5. Would be great to see you all there !

Good news - free Striders tea/coffee nights are back on the menu starting this Thursday (12th) after club sessions. To reduce waste member are welcome to bring their own cups/flasks. Biscuit donations on the day would be very welcome. See you there ! Andy J        

July - September door rota will be at the club for people to populate at club sessions. Rota is looking pretty bare at the moment so if you can spare the time to take a turn it will be appreciated. Post also on Striders FB page too. Thanks Andy J
