Hi all In aid of Ben’s charity fundraising Strider Helen McIlvenny has hand made a Christmas wreath. (Photograph example below). It will be on a moss base; using a variety of winter foliages plus seasonal trimmings and textures; and finished with a purple velvet ribbon to represent Pancreatic Cancer UK. £2 a raffle ticket strip. (Normal selling being price would be £45). Tickets will be available at the club this week 6th and the 8th. The raffle will be drawn at 8pm on the 8th and the wreath will be available to take home on the night (or collection/delivery can be arranged as necessary. The scores on the doors are in from Thursdays charity race night and yesterdays sponsored Parkrun event. Charity night ticket sales profit £500. Profit on the night and private donations £750. Total profit £1250. The Sponsored Parkrun raised a further £300. That gives us an overall total of £1550 raised in aid of World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day (17th November). Thank you so much to everybody who contributed. An absolutely staggering amount raised that way exceeded our expectations. Please circulate totals to non Striders members who contributed so they are aware of the fantastic amounts raised too. Thanks Gail, Jennie & Andy J 💜

SWEEPSTAKE DRAW The draw for the sweepstake took place in Starbucks an hour or so ago and here are your teams. (Tom Murphy, Tom Ramsey, Rob Parker, Andy Johnston, Kay Martin, Nick Martin and Tom Holland helped with the draw so if you’re unhappy with your team please aim your frustrations at them 😉) I suspect the pain of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 not qualifying will be numbed slightly when Kris sees who he landed! For those not on FB STOCKTON STRIDERS WORLD CUP 2022 SWEEPSTAKE ⚽️ Hi all, those of you that were members back in 2018 & last year will know we did a football sweepstake for the World Cup/Euros. I’ve spoken to a few people and I’m putting this post on to see if there is interest for one for the World Cup. (I know the first game is tomorrow .. we will have the draw done before the England game the kicking off on Monday if the interest is there!) 32 teams, so can have 32 players.
