League races 2018 – only 1 to go!

Top turnout from Striders this morning to remember Gav Duffy at his memorial run. It’s a testimony to his memory that so many people want to run this race. From what I hear there was some fab running today in muddy but reasonably manageable conditions .... I know we had one faller in the mud though didn’t we Matthew Carling although it didn’t seem to slow you down?. After today that leaves one club league race left for this year - the What a Wheeze 5k at Ropner Park on Sunday 23 December. From what I understand there’s still a lot riding on it for some people ??! Whatever the results I’m sure Striders will be out in force to celebrate Christmas & raise money for a fab cause. Don’t…

Thank you to everyone who attended last nights AGM. Well done to all committee members who were voted to remain in their roles, a massive thank you to Lisa Pattison, Jason Pattison, David Horton & Samuel Johnston who stepped down from the committee - thank you for all your hard work guys and welcome to our new treasurer Andrew Laverick, coaching co-ordination Liz Simpson, and member representatives Tom Day & Gavin Morley. As Lisa is stepping down I am returning to the role of club secretary. There were some really good ideas discussed last night of which more will be explored & details will follow in the coming weeks/months but in the meantime here’s to continuing success of our fantastic club ????. Food & drink may be a good idea too ? & your mobile phone a must please. Runners - layer up, men if you can get there early & support the ladies and ladies if you can stay & support the guys.
