Thirsk 10mile league race

Club News
*** THIRSK 10 Mile ADMIN*** Hi all, As the Thirsk registration doesn't seem to cater for unaffiliated members of clubs, I can't guarantee that I won't miss someone out when compiling the results. Once the points are posted here, they won't be amended unless the mistake is ours. To that end, could we ask everyone who wants to collect league points that has NOT been able to select the club at sign-up to comment below this post so I know who to search for. (Michael & Zaheer, we already know about you.) thank you Glenn c

Kit Orders Hi everyone Thank you to everyone who has responded to the kit order for the light blue hoodies and t shirt. They are proving to to be very popular 👍🏻 Final reminder I will close this round of orders tomorrow at 8pm. We will order again, so don’t worry if you have missed out on this round. Myself and Andy J  will keep you updated on delivery. Again, please comment on the original post for size orders if you haven’t already. There are a few people who originally expressed interest that haven’t yet given me their sizes. Andy has also informed me we have just received a fresh delivery of our club official race vest. A must have for those league races as the weather warms 🤞🏻 Drop…

Posting with permission of the committee. You may have seen this shared in the media already about little Henry. Club parkrun volunteering

Club News
Club volunteering mornings Striders who used to parkrun at the Barrage will recall that as a club we would take over all volunteering duties on occasional Saturdays. Some of the local runs are always short of volunteers, to the point that runs are in jeopardy (not to mention stressed volunteer co-ordinators) and this is a great way for the club to repay league runs and also advertise the club. I have a "thumbs-up" from the committee to organise this on a quarterly basis (3 local ParkRuns and 1 Ropner Sunday Runners) and would like to kick off with Saturday 23rd March at Flatts Lane. It needs 12-15 people, not many given the size of our club, so if you are resting for a race on Sunday 24th, injured or just…

Food bank run

Club News
After yesterday’s magnificent display of team spirit at both Boro half & the XC don’t forget our food bank run on Sunday 24th March - meeting at the club st 9:45am. It’s an opportunity for all of us to come together to demonstrate our Stockton Striders community spirit whilst giving something back. Please bring donations … usual things like tinned food, cereal, rice, etc either to club on club night or on the day of the run. Run will be about 5k to the community pantry at roseworth or the whole loop onto the community pantry on Norton Road is around 10k. Idea is you carry a few items in a backpack but we will have a support car too … on that note we could do with a volunteer…
