Above are the details for the meeting which takes place at Acorn Centre, Acklam Grange School, Middlesbrough TS5 8QB on Sunday 9th October. Please make your athletes and any spectators aware that NO DOGS and NO SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE SCHOOL FIELDS”. If we have anyone wanting to participate who haven’t already let us know, we will need your URN number and DOB before Friday 7th October.

Message from Kris Allen Hi all Bit of a one for you to deliberate. With the Queen’s funeral this Monday and most being off work, wanted to judge the feeling about doing a run after 5pm once all formalities are complete. From the Barrage choosing your own distance up to a maximum of 10k doing the normal Barrage loop. Dress in celebration of the Queen’s life and her amazing service to our country. Not setting a pace as would like to encourage lots to come including friends and family. Please comment below to judge numbers. Blooming heck with all that's been going on I've only just realised the Striders canine mini parkrun league returns this weekend with a trip to Cotsford Fields parkrun! So who's making the trip with their pooches????

We've had a couple of people asking how the fundraising totals are going so here's a quick update Debbies Dollies combined total for the two just giving pages which includes gift aid contributions is £9,108.01 for The Trinity Holistic Centre at James Cook Hospital. Bens Charity Song page is £2, 009.38 which includes gift aid contributions. There is a further £575 from the charity night and fundraising is ongoing with Ben's Army amongst others raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK Thank you to everyone who has supported us all raising a phenomenal amount of money for the Trinity Holistic Centre and Pancreatic Cancer UK

Emma F has made some black ribbons to wear at GNR as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II - if anyone would like to purchase one, they’ll be for sale on the GNR bus in the morning. we’ve suggested a 50p charge per ribbon with all monies raised split between Ben Robinson & Debbie Edwards charities. Emma is furiously sewing away & therefore we hope supply will meet demand.

GNR bus IMPORTANT - GNR bus info - please share with friends etc who won’t see post here or on website. Bus will depart SSAC/STFC car park at 7:30am promptly so please if everyone can arrive by 7:20am. It will drop us off in Newcastle city centre then make its way to South Shields. We will return from South Shields at around 4:30pm so if everyone can meet in the charity village - avenue A near tent 14 (our hospitals charity) and tent 15 (pancreatic cancer uk) by 4:15pm so we can make our way back to the bus together. Thank you so much to everyone who supported Debbie’s Dollies charity run…. There’s photos to follow in the coming days. Please see below for results. In the event, we appreciate the course fell short of 5K, but we hope you all enjoyed it. The event raised a fantastic amount (over £1500) for the Trinity Holistic Centre and we can’t thank you all enough for your support. Particular thanks to Simon and all at HMP Kirklevington, Muddy Roads, Stockton Striders AC, all the volunteers on the evening and to those who donated raffle prizes and costs towards hosting the event. It was lovely to see everyone on the evening and we’re now raring to go for the Great North Run! Love Debbie & her dollies, Sue, Sandra, Kirsten Jill and Helen…

Just a reminder all club sessions are cancelled this Thursday 01 September due to a number of coaches/members taking part in Debbie’s GNR Dollies 5km. Some of the coaches will be running & helping out around the course but we could do with a few more marshals to help out with general tasks … if you comment below please 😊
