Glorious sunny weather for our runners this weekend. 17 Striders attended Wynyard with Mike Ford and Michelle Hart getting new pb's and Oli Hall finishing 2nd. Michelle Ince and Helen Johnston volunteered. Elsewhere, 18 Striders attended Hartlepool - 4 of whom were in sensational form. Zaheer Patankar has shown real improvement since joining the club and picked up a big all-course pb. Nice work Zaheer.  Emma Fleming ran her 150th parkrun. Emma (70%+ age-grading and 1st lady home) recorded a sub-20 time and an all-course pb. Nice one Emma. Izzy Morgan and Daniele Meucci had been 'running up that hill' on Bishopton Road during Tuesday's 'Jo Pavey' session. The flat promenade at Hartlepool must have seemed a little kinder on the legs - and so it proved. Izzy (70%+ and 3rd lady home)…

It was a warm and muggy morning for the 10 Striders at Wynyard. Mike Ford and Karen Clarke came away with new pb's. Gail Robinson and Kirsty Alderthay volunteered. This week they were singing a song as I ran past. Great stuff! Elsewhere, 3 Striders were in superb form at Albert. Beth Dang was 2nd lady home in an all-course pb. Tidy work Beth. David Green and Sharon Lawson Green's fledgling parkrun career reached new heights. Both recorded all-course pb's and 70%+ age-gradings. Nice one guys. Zoe Cornforth celebrated her 100th parkrun at Loustien, Bergen in Norway. Emma Fleming (70%+), Izzy Morgan (70%+)…

Cleveland Way Relay

Club News
This year’s Cleveland Way Relay is on Sunday 16 June. For those that haven’t done this before it’s a team relay along the length of the Cleveland Way. Starting at 5am in Filey and ending in Helmsley (hopefully) in time for celebratory chips. You can read more about it here https://www.nym.ac/cleveland-way-relay-info/ There’s 16 legs ranging from 3.5miles to 8.5miles. The shorter distances tend to include the most elevation. Anyone fancy a run up Rosebery Topping? As a club we have a minimum of two runners on each leg for safety. At least one person on each leg will need to recce their leg to make sure you know the route and to provide an estimated running time. This means we can estimate when everyone will begin. We also need one…
