Morning all, here are tonight's sessions: Sub 22, led by Paul J are doing hills.   22-25, led by Lucy and Liz are doing Intervals.   25-27, led by Cat are doing Intervals: 6x1200m. 27-30, led by Neil are doing mile repeats x 4.   30-33, led by Suzanne are doing Indian file.   33+, led by Anna are doing mile repeats x3 Don’t forget it’s tea and coffee night tonight. Ormesby Hall cross country by Paul J

Ormesby Hall was the venue for the latest NYSD Cross Country event on Sunday - with 21 Striders making the trip. With Liz and Gerry away it was down to Tom and Jonathan to get there early doors and put up the team tent. Taking a mere one and a half hours - I'm reliably informed it was one of the quickest ever times for a Striders tent assembly. A dry January meant course conditions were good. (It had been a hard slog the previous year in the snow) With a gentle breeze blowing it was soon time for the start. The ladies were first off at 12.00. Morning Striders, Tonight’s announcements will be at 6:25 and the sessions start at 6:30 prompt. If you could all be signed in and ready to run for then that would be great. Thank you. ? Tonight’s sessions are: Sub 22 which will be led by Tom, are doing a pyramid session.   22-25 which will be led by Liz, are doing Indian file: 2 x 2 miles. 25-27 which will be led by Cat and Angela, are doing Tempo: 1 mile easy, 2x10mins tempo, 0.5-1mile easy. 27-30 which will be led by Gavin, are doing hunt the hills.   30-33 which will be led by Zoe, are doing mile repeats x3.   33+ which will be led by Dave E, are doing tempo run (between 6-7km distance). Morning Striders ? here are tonight's sessions: Sub 22 which will be led by Paul, are doing 10k (alternating 1min slow and 1min fast). 22-25 which will be led by Lucy and Caroline, are doing 400m repeats. 25-27 which will be led by Cat and Angela, are doing Intervals: 8x30secs hard, 90sec recoveries. 27-30 which will be led by Suzanne and David H, are doing pyramid intervals. 30-33 which will be led by Liz, are doing a lamppost pyramid session. 33+ which will be led by Anna, are doing hills. 2019 membership information

Dear Strider, Happy New Year and welcome to another year of Striding. Many of you will be aware of this but for those who are not, just a reminder that the date for club membership renewals has moved to 1st April. This will allow us to line up membership and payments for England Athletics for those who choose to affiliate, at the same time therefore saving on administrative time. This means that for this year only, existing members can enjoy the first three months of the year for FREE. Please make the most of this as its a one-off opportunity and we hope you like the fact that we have moved payments a little further away from Christmas! Teesdale Way run update

Sunday seems the most popular for those that replied so we’ll go for 9am on Sunday from Preston Park main carpark. We’ll do a loop of the park, run down Yarm Road to Yarm, along the Teesdale Way to Eaglescliffe and back to the park. It’s approx 6 miles. Remember your trail shoes it’s really muddy! That gives everyone time to rest the legs before the first league race of next year on NYD at the double Albert and Stewart parkrun. ??‍♀️?‍♂️
