Morning Striders, here are tonight's sessions:  Sub 22, led by Liz are doing fartlek.     22-25, led by Sam are doing steps.     25-27, led by Cat are doing 1 mile at short tempo pace, 1 mile easy, 2 miles at short tempo pace, 1 mile easy, 1 mile at short tempo pace.     27-30, led by Lucy are doing a progression run.     30-33, led by Suzanne are doing Run out, back faster x5. 33+, led by Anna are doing a sprint pyramid. Parkrun 22 June report

Run reports
The barrage parkrun celebrated its 7th birthday on Saturday. It was also a morning of celebration for the Johnston's. Sam completed his 250th parkrun and Andy his 150th. A fair few of the 47 Striders present joined them for drinks at the Talpore afterwards - where Sam was presented with a smart montage of his parkrun career. Sam had led a tough training session at Ropner Park on Thursday - and three of those who took part subsequently walked away with lifetime best parkrun times. Two of those were Jamie Bentley, who was also third finisher, and the exponentially improving Michael Meggs. Aaron Atkinson took advantage of some Striders pacing to get a new pb - and a rare barrage outing for Claire Banton resulted in another pb. Helen Mcilvenny…

Morning Striders, here are tonight's sessions: Sub 22, led by Sam are doing a pyramid Session.  22-25, led by Tom are doing fartlek 25-27, led by Suzanne are doing 3 miles at short tempo pace. 27-30, led by Zoe are doing 5 x 45 sec hard with 1 min walk in between 3 minute easy jog recovery - repeat 3 times. 30-33, led by Gavin are doing a speed session. 33+, led by Dave E are doing lamppost Intervals. Morning Striders,  Tonight is our all-inclusive sand dunes and beach run at Seaton. 🏖 Meet 6:30pm in the carpark at the end of the seafront (where the pin is in the attached map). Following the session we’ll be going for 🐟&🍟. Everyone is welcome to join us. £1’s still apply for this session.  There’s also an all-inclusive meet and retreat session plus an all-inclusive hills session at the club. Firstly, we haven't got a second team unfortunately. A few people can't make it due to injuries etc so there are too many gaps on the 2nd team. Liz Jordan - Do you want to run with Jonathon Archer for that leg? Other people are more than welcome to run with others if needed. Parkrun 16 June report

A warm morning at the barrage saw 22 Striders in a field of 326 runners. Phil Swash and the rapidly improving Michael Meggs got new pb's. Paul A, Jeanette A, Julia C, Andy J, Helen J, Nigel R and Simon R all kindly gave their time to help with volunteering. Elsewhere there were two exceptional performances to report - these being from Suzanne Brodie at Hartlepool and Christian Oxley at Albert Park. Suzanne got a lifetime parkrun best - running over a minute faster than she'd ever gone before. Great work Suzanne. Christian also got a lifetime best time - knocking nearly a minute and a half of his previous best at Albert. I'll be expecting you in the sub 22 group at future training sessions Christian... 24 Striders were joined at the barrage by a very special visitor - matron. Following Dave Fender's super quick mile at the NYMAC relays there was concern that he might 'overdo it' at the parkrun - picking up another unusual injury in the process. Matron and her team of physios were on hand for this eventuality. The run itself saw both Steve Harrisson and Beverley Harvey get new pb's. Helen Mcilvenny was third female finisher and myself, Tom Day and Dave Fender got 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the men. David M and Viv M volunteered. Morning Striders, here are tonight’s sessions: Sub 22, led by Paul J are doing 'Jo Pavey' speed hills session.     22-25, led by Liz are doing long hills.     25-27, led by Caroline and David are doing 1600m, 1200m, 800m, 400m intervals (400m rest intervals).     27-30, led by Angela are doing 2 min repeats x 10 with 1 min jog recovery.     30-33, led by Suzanne are doing mile repeats x3.     33+, led by Helen are doing social run.
