Sunday Croft cross country

*Reminder for Cross Country event. Fixture no.3*. Sunday 21st November at Croft Circuit. Please see below for details and directions. Usual post event refreshments will be provided including cake and biscuits; please bring your own mug/cup. We do have spares if you forget. We also have spare pins for your numbers. Stockton Strider colours to be worn. We do like an idea of who is coming just for numbers and again we have a great turn out expected. No need to decide right now, but if you did register for the cross country series you will have an allocated number, so it is okay for you to turn up on the day. 14 Striders went to Stewart Park on Saturday. Michael Burke and Abby Barker were 2nd and 3rd overall finishers. Abby finished as first lady and got a regional age-grading and new pb. Kris Allen and Emma Fleming also walked away with Stewart pb's. Elsewhere, Beth Dang and Kay Martin were 2nd and 3rd ladies to finish at Hartlepool. Both got new pb's with Kay's an all-course one. Simon Russell got a regional age-grading. At Albert Park Michael Meggs got an all-course pb with a regional age-grading - Helen Mcilvenny also getting a 70%+ age-grading. Michelle Ince and Paul Morton recorded new pb's. Final member of the pb club was John Corvesor at Flatts Lane. Runners too at York, Cannon Hill, Durham, Normanby Hall, Sedgefield, Darlington South, Tonbridge, Cinder Track (Whitby)…

Firstly we just want to say well done to all our Striders for their amazing efforts at both the Goathland and Middlesbrough events over this weekend. If you are on the look out for more events, consider cross country running. Many of you are signed up, we can still register a few more if interested. Our next X.C event is to be held on Sunday 21st November. Please see details below. you can add your name in the comments if you intend to run just to give us an idea of numbers. 18 Striders took a trip to Hartlepool on Saturday. Speedster Jonathon Archer was 2nd finisher in a new pb - also recording a regional age-grading. Jess Clayton, Kay Martin, Beth Dang, Tom Murphy and Kris Allen all came home with new pb's. Liz Simpson was 3rd lady to finish, Ben Robinson got a regional age-grading and Emma Fleming completed parkrun number 50. Elsewhere, Izzy Morgan had another great run at Sedgefield. She was first lady finisher - getting a first sub-22 time in the process. Nice one Izzy. Peter Camp also flew round to get a new pb and a regional age-grading. Good work Peter.
