Charity song

Club News
A message from Ben Robinson…. Many moons ago when Gail & I joined Stockton Striders AC we met people who we are now proud to call close friends. Through these friends and the club we’ve learned of their ups and downs in life be-it themselves, close friends or relatives. For a long time now I have been working on a song, with lyrics which will mean something to runners, not just in this club but in every running club. I am hoping that once this song comes together, (for which we need your help but that comes later so keep reading), copies of it will be bought not just by our club but by other runners too and the money raised will go to charity. We are supporting Parkrinson’s UK…

New Years Eve run

Training
Hello everyone, As mentioned previously there will be an unofficial all inclusive run on the Teesdale Way on New Years Eve. It’s a 9km route, mostly off road. Everyone welcome - we will use loop back etc. to keep everyone together. Trail shoes highly recommended as it was muddy (and very fun) yesterday. Meet at 9:30am outside Thomas Brown Pub in Eaglescliffe. It’s on the Sunningale Estate just near the shops and Eaglescliffe Health Centre. There’s parking in the shops car park or street parking. This is a slightly different route to pervious years so we are more on the trail. If you want to know the route in advance it’s mostly the one on my Strava from yesterday. Hope to see you there.

Michael Meggs, Daniele Meucci and Tom Murphy recorded all-course pb's. Kirsty Alderthay got a new Hartlepool pb - whilst Michael and Simon Russell achieved 70%+ a-g's. A further 10 Striders had a run at Albert Park. Of those, Joanne Cooke got a new pb, Emily Palmer and Helen Mcilvenny recorded 70%+ a-g's and John Stapleton made it to run number 50. I noticed at Northallerton Finlay Pennington was on 301 parkruns. Can't recall mentioning when Fin made it to 300 so a belated well done on reaching the milestone mate. We also had runners at Sedgefield, Redcar, Stewart, Dishley (Loughborough), Nostell…
