Paul’s parkrun report

Run reports
Runners at Hartlepool faced a stiff breeze in the final mile on Saturday. That didn't stop Doreen Morris and Emma Fleming recording new pb's. Emma celebrated afterwards by consuming a shortbread cakey thing. I was 2nd finisher and Abby Barker 3rd (and first lady). Abby missed out on a new pb by a whisker but had the consolation of a superb national standard 80% age-grading. Elsewhere, Suzanne Brodie reached the 200-parkrun milestone at Keswick. Helen Mcilvenny (70%+ a-g) at Whitley Bay and Izzy Morgan at Sedgefield were both 2nd ladies home. Tom Holland and Zoe Cornforth got pb's at Darlington with Tom's an all-course one. Lisa Graves pb'd at Hull as did Craig Thomas at Hackworth. Stevie Cooper got a 70%+ a-g at Albert. Striders too at Newtown (Wales), Windy…

Stockton Striders Charity single

News
So here it is, the world exclusive of the Striders Stockton AC charity song and video. Please enjoy, sing and dance along but then, most importantly, donate using the links below and share, share, share! Let’s get this to as many people as we can to raise as much as we can for two incredible Striders members. Here’s why it’s so important… Stockton Striders member Debbie Edwards continues with her journey following diagnosis of breast cancer. Things haven’t gone according to plan as her cancer is now stage 4 and incurable but that doesn’t stop our Debbie. Debbie has already raised an amazing amount for the Trinity Holistic Centre, where she has received treatment. To help Debbie with her fundraising fellow Strider Ben Robinson wrote and produced this charity song.…

Run reports
Debbie, Debbie's Dollies, birthday boy Ben and Gail were among (at least) 48 Striders to attend the first event of the 'parkrunathon' at Marshall Drive, Brotton. It was another warm and sunny morning and we were greeted by a friendly team of local volunteers. I won't go into great detail regarding the whole day - it would be more interesting to have one or two write-ups from people who did all the events. Additional funds were raised for the Trinity Holistic Centre and we got to hear Ben's song for the first time. If you haven't already done so, check out the Marshall Drive parkrun Facebook page where there's over 200 photos from the event. (including a great pic of Dan who looks like he's just scored the winning goal…
