All EA affiliations received by Saturday's deadline have now been processed and you should hear from EA in the coming days. We have also processed all the e-mails re London Marathon ballot - don't forget if you are already EA affiliated for 21/22 and still wish to enter the ballot you have until 31/05/21 to send your no e-mail from VLM. The draw will take place before the training session at the club on Tuesday 01/06/21 Thanks Helen

  **** London Marathon 2021 Club place**** The club has learnt this weekend that once again we have been allocated 1 club place for this years London marathon which takes place on Sunday 3rd October 2021. To qualify for entry in the club ballot you must 1. Be a first claim athlete to Stockton Striders AC 2. Have renewed your EA affiliation by 31st May however to enable us to process any requests payment & paperwork needs to be completed and emailed to stocktonstriders@gmail.com no later than Saturday 22nd May (please see earlier posts for full instructions on how to do this) 3. Cleveland Way Relay 2021 update Whilst we understand there are tentative plans by race organisers to still host the event in June this year subject to covid roadmap permissions, as a committee we have made the difficult decision not to enter a Striders team this year. We hope you appreciate this was made only after considering the implications of organising recces, not being able to car share without those in social bubbles and how it would actually work on race day without support crews etc. Fingers crossed we"ll be back in 2022!

Hi all If you are wishing to renew your England Athletics Affiliation for 2021-2022 you can now do so.  It runs from 01/04/21 to 31/03/22. Please follow  instructions on the attached form and make the £15 payment to Stockton Striders AC (bank account details are on the form) Only once you have made payment, you then need to e-mail the completed application form to stocktonstriders@gmail.com so that the information can be updated on the club portal.  Applications will be done in batches and you will be notified when its done. It is entirely up to the individual as to whether they wish to renew their affiliation at this time.  The club has renewed its club affiliation this month (at a cost of £150) as encouraged by England Athletics.  England Athletics…

We’ve received the following e-mail Important Information re NYSD XC season 20/21 .... hi all Following a meeting of the NYSD officers last night a decision was taken regarding the NYSD XC season for 2020-21. In light of the current situation regarding the recent UKA protocols for Covid 19 for XC and the changing rules and restrictions being issued by the government it was decided that we will NOT be holding any NYSD XC meetings this season. This decision was not taken lightly, with the health and safety of athletes, marshals and officials at the forefront of our minds, we feel this is the correct course of action at this time.
