Thanks to Liz Simpson for all her hard work organising tonight’s Comic Relief event at the club. 25 people split into 4 teams completed the 4 mile run with challenges set along the way before ending with a quiz back at the club. In the finish not much separated the teams but congratulations to The Odd Man Out team (needless to say it was Ben Robinson who was the odd man out wearing his striders top instead of a red T-shirt) captained by Andy J who were victorious in the end ! Thanks also to all the volunteers, team captains and everyone who took part. All subs from tonight (£25) along with a club donation (also £25) will go directly to Comic Relief

Don’t forget it’s our first canine mini league parkrun this Saturday at Sedgefield parkrun. Aim is not for it to be mega competitive purely an opportunity to have a nice run with our four legged friends (following parkrun rules of course) then a chance to stay for a coffee & chat afterwards with fellow Striders 💚💙🐾🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Everyone welcome with or without a dog!

WIN - £100 LOVE TO SHOP VOUCHERS – The community or workplace team who recruits the most new players by 10.00 am on Monday 21st March will win £100 in vouchers. Club Ballot London Marathon 2022 Early heads up gang as I understand London Marathon ballot results are due out from 14/03/22 After first telling us we weren’t getting a club place 😞 we now have confirmation that the club has indeed been allocated 1 place in this years London Marathon 😊👍🏻 To qualify for the club ballot you need to have entered the general ballot for 2022 and will need to confirm your no thank you magazine packet/letter serial number or no thank you email to stocktonstriders@gmail.com. In addition you must be a current member of Stockton Striders AC & were a member as of 08/10/21 and if affiliated Stockton Striders AC must be your first claim club For this year only the affiliation criteria for our ballot has changed…

Beat the Street Stockton Striders Team is now registered so if any striders are already registered you can now join our team (as long as you’ve not registered with another team already) For those not already registered Lucy Owens will bring registration card to Striders on Tuesday evening and is happy to assist with individuals with the on-line registration. What a morning! What a club! 💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙 Striders out in force supporting our Debbie Edwards on her much awaited parkrun (walk) return at Stewart’s parkrun. Thanks for all the shout outs and to those who joined Debbie walking both or one of the laps once they’d done their 5k 😊😊 …. not forgetting the large Striders canine contingency 🐾🐾🐾🐾 The cakes and scones also proved to be a hit along with our post parkrun teas & coffees 😊😊

Never one to stop things preventing her doing what she loves Debbie is hoping to be walking Stewart’s parkrun this weekend - would be lovely to see some fellow striders there too 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🐾😊
