Hi everyone. Quick update re the charity song. To give you a better idea of it’s sound we have attached a demo recorded by the lovely Emily Palmer & Suzanne Brodie .. who are fantastic talented ladies 😍 On Saturday, please arrive at the Green Dragon Yard studio in Stockton between 12 noon & 1pm, a little after one is fine. The studio is booked for three hours. We have the lyrics laminated for anyone who doesn’t know them. Please do not worry about your singing ability, honestly, I am tone deaf but will be there belting out the chorus. Please come along, we need you. Just a reminder all club sessions are cancelled tonight …

In previous years we’ve organised a bus from the club for GNR & York Marathon/10 miler…. Would people be interested if the same was arranged again this year?? Although with fuel price increases I would imagine it will be more expensive this year! GNR bus usually leaves club around 7:30am (to get to newcastle before the road closures) and departs South Shields between 4 & 4:30pm York bus usually leaves club around 7:00am and departs around 4pm. If interested please comment below with either ‘GNR’ ‘York’ or ‘Both’ & how many places you’d like including spectators … I’ll then do some pricing up and confirm arrangements …. Thanks Helen

Early heads up ….. given the forecasted temperature of 29 degrees at 7pm next Tuesday along with the amber alert in place at the start of next week we have taken the decision to cancel next Tuesdays club sessions. This decision has not been made lightly but we hope you will all support us and appreciate that the health and safety of our coaches and members alike are our number one priority. Re: Striders song.. Ben has heard from the studio who feel 3 one hour sessions will work. You will be in a proper recording studio at the Green Dragon Yard, headphones, mics .. the lot! You could be the next Bono, Paul Young or Bananarama!! 😂 😂 To make this work you need to be familiar with the track. (Available on request) Ben is happy to do a quick rehearsal after club next week (Tuesday) if anyone wants this. Please do not worry if you cannot sing, this can be managed. What we do want is Strider participation, without you this song won’t happen. It is to raise money for Debbie’s Trinity Holistic Centre. It’ll be a fun afternoon so come along if you’re able too.
