Club Member of the Year 2023
Members are now asked in the first instance to nominate members who they think should be considered for male and female member of the year.
All nominations should include 100 words max (can be in list/bullet point format, few sentences, whatever is easier) outlining why the individual deserves the award.
Nominations can either be sent via email or submitted manually on club nights.
To re-cap. As with previous years winning the award is not just about being the fastest. Whilst it can include notable personal running milestones and PB’s it should also include equally important factors, ie contributions to the club, support for fellow members (both in a running and social context) and input into the wider running community too.
Forms will be available from this Thursday 30/11/23 for manual nominations. Those preferring to use gmail. Please email nominations to stocktonstriders@gmail.com. Subject line on gmail should be ‘nomination’.
The deadline for all nominations is 21st December.
We accept by definition gmail nominations will not strictly be anonymous as they will show your email address. Rest assured, there is only Sam J and me who will have access to the gmail account so your secret will be safe with us!
The first week in January the committee will consider all nominations/supporting text and shortlist a selection. In turn the shortlisted nominations with their supporting text will then be put back to the members for the final vote. The winning nominations and the awards will be announced and presented at the club birthday party on Friday 26 January 2023.
Please note. Max 3 nominations per member although this will have to be self-policed as nominations will of course be anonymous.
