Here are tonight's sessions:    Sub 22, led by Sam are doing hills.       22-25, led by Tom are doing Fartlek. 25-27, led by Cat are doing Hills: 12 x steeper hills. 27-30, led by Angela and Zoe are doing an Interval session. 30-33, led by Suzanne are doing 4 x 800m repeats with 200m recovery. 33+, led by Anna are doing walk, jog, sprint triangle. The door will be covered by Gail R and Angela S. Tickets are on sale for our birthday party on 31st Jan for £10. Including a casino, buffet and the awards presentation. Blustery conditions for the 46 Striders at the barrage on Saturday. No new pb's to report but we did see Helen Mcilvenny come in as third female finisher. Jonathon A, Andrew L, Adam P and Nigel R volunteered. Dave Fender failed his fitness test and didn't run. Elsewhere Julia Ansbro got a new pb at Albert where Emily Palmer was third female home. Two more pb's - and they went to Suzanne Brodie at Stewart and Fiona Shaw at Fountains Abbey. Gavin Morley completed his 100th parkrun at Silksworth. Runners too at Woodhouse Moor, Catterick, Sedgefield, Darlington South and Flatts Lane. Paul J

Morning Striders, Here are tonight's sessions: Sub 22, led by Paul are doing a speed session. 22-25, led by Tom and Liz are doing 600m repeats. 25-27, led by Cat are doing Intervals: parlauf relays 400m, 150m x 10. 27-30, led by Gavin are doing 1 mile easy, 1 mile hard, 1 mile easy. 30-33, led by Lucy are doing hills. 6 mins x4 with 3min recovery. 33+, led by David E and Anna are doing 5 x 1k reps - 3 @ effort & 2 steady. 4 January parkrun report

Run reports
467 runners at the barrage made it a record attendance - and a figure which included 52 Striders. Sarah Winter completed her 100th parkrun and there were new pb's for Chris Newton and Tristan Keates. Helen Mcilvenny and Kay Stokes were second and third ladies home. Kay also recorded a new pb and an impressive age grading of 84.96 - moving her up to 7th on the barrage all-time age graded league. Great stuff. Aaron A, Suzanne B, Beth D, Sarah G, Beverley H, Gareth M, Gail R and Claire T helped with volunteering. Dave Fender failed his fitness test and didn't run. Morning all,  Who’s ready for another year of Striders??? 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪🏆 Here are tonight's sessions:    Sub 22 and 33+, led by Sam, Suzanne and Anna are doing meet and retreat. 22-25, led by Lucy and Liz are doing 6 miles at 9min mile pace with sprints. 25-27, led by Cat are doing a social run to re-find your running legs. 27-30, led by Caroline and David H are doing 4x800m, 3 min jog recovery. 30-33, led by Tom and Claire are doing Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins (4 mile route). 41 Striders at the barrage last Saturday. Darren Mitchell recorded a new pb and Helen Mcilvenny was first lady finisher. Lee B, Angela C, David M, Viv M and Sue R volunteered. Dave Fender was banished to the Felixstowe parkrun as part of his rehabilitation. Matron was present to ensure he dressed appropriately. Elsewhere Emily Palmer and Beth Dang were second and third finishers for the ladies at Albert Park. Beth also getting a new pb. Simon Russell was first home at The Grange. Jamie Bentley got a new pb at Albert on Christmas Day. A feat he repeated at Sedgefield on New Year's Day. Parkrunners at the barrage were treated to the most extraordinary spectacle on Saturday. My dear friend Dave Fender turned up completely naked - except that is for his running shoes, a Santa hat and a Striders scarf around his neck. I know what you're thinking - do Striders actually sell a club scarf? On spotting the under-dressed Strider, Harley, normally so excitable and full of life, became very quiet. He's hardly touched his food since. Anyway, I digress - back to the run. A quick glance at the results may have hinted at a tussle between Dave and Tom Day at the front of the field. New Year’s Eve ‘unofficial’ Teesdale Way run

As previous years we’ll be doing a New Year’s Eve run along the Teesdale Way. It’s apparently 6 miles meeting at Preston Park at 9:30am. Running down Yarm Road, a loop of the Teesdale Way then back along Yarm Road to finish at Preston Park. Anyone welcome. All paces will be accommodated. Christmas pub run – 17 December

Morning Striders, There are no formal sessions tonight as it's our Christmas pub run. 🎅🎄Meet between 6 and 6:30pm in Tthe Elm Tree. We will then move onto The Fairfield, Stockton Arms, and back to the club. It's a nice social run between pubs. Christmas attaire is compulsory! The Christmas Elves on the door tonight are Gail R and Jennie J. They'll be in The Elm Tree from around 6:15. No subs will be taken but if you still want to bring £1 to donate to the local food bank Chloe Turner has been organising collections over the last few weeks. See you later. 🎄
