Morning Striders, here are tonight's sessions:    Sub 22, led by Paul are doing Pyramid Session.       22-25, led by Tom are doing Pyramid session 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1.       25-27, led by Cat are doing 4 mile speed session 0.5 mile hard, 0.5 mile easy - Hartburn Dton Rd/Surbiton Rd.       27-30, led by David H are doing a pyramid session.       30-33, led by Helen are doing 2 miles out then back faster.       33+, led by Anna are doing 4 miles 8/2. The door will be covered by Becky S and Tony G. It’s tea and coffee night so please stop back for a brew if you can. Why not bring your own cup along to cut down o waste. Happy running…

Morning all, here are tonight's sessions:    Sub 22, led by Tom are doing mile repeats.       22-25, led by David H and Liz are doing 1 min fast 1 min slow.       25-27, led by Cat are doing 2 x 1000m, 2 x 800m, 2 x 400m, 2 x 200m, 2 mins jog recovery. 27-30, led by Lucy are doing a tempo run.       30-33, led by Sam are doing a hills session. 33+, led by Jamie are doing hills. The door will be covered by Phil B and Andy J. There’s an open day at the college tonight so the car park may be busier than usual. Happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Morning Striders, here are tonight's sessions:    Sub 22, led by Jamie are doing 800m repeats- meet at Tees Barrage parkrun start.       22-25, led by Lucy are doing decreasing intervals.       25-27, led by Cat are doing 4 x 1000m, 2 mins recovery.       27-30, led by Suzanne are doing 1 mile medium effort, 2 mile tempo, 1 mile easy.       30-33, led by Zoe are doing decreasing intervals, 90,60,30,15 seconds.       33+, led by Anna are doing 8mins, 6mins, 4mins, 2mins, 1min runs with half recovery walk in between. Parkrun reports from 25 Jan and 1 Feb

1 Feb.... 434 runners, including 48 Striders, gathered at a windy barrage on Saturday. Jamie Bentley was in superb form - and clocked a 17 min 51 sec pb to come in first. Must be that new plant based diet, eh Jamie? Beth Dang may be training for a marathon but she's still feeling the need for speed - and shaved 33 seconds off her previous best time. Another excellent run came from Philip Baines who pb'd by 40 seconds. Helen Mcilvenny was third female finisher. Suzanne B, Angela C, Sarah G, Helen J, Viv M and Sue R helped with volunteering. 18 January parkrun and XC report

Me and Dave were minding our own business and going along nicely on a pleasant morning at the barrage. Suddenly we heard footsteps behind us - it was fellow Strider James Boynton. James glided past us with ease on his way to a big new pb. Helen Mcilvenny and Sarah Winter were first and second ladies home. Kris A, Aaron A, Deborah E, Keran H, Helen J, Andy J, Sam J, Jennie J, Ben R, Gail R, Sue R and Sarah W helped with volunteering. Elsewhere I reckon Suzanne Brodie must have some sort of spreadsheet to keep track of all the different parkrun courses she's run at. This time it was Gateshead where another pb was obtained.
