19 Striders at Hartlepool on Saturday where both Izzy Morgan and Craig Morgan recorded all-course pb's. Izzy also achieved a 70% age-grading and was 2nd lady to finish. Great work. Christopher Lovell got a new pb and Stevie Cooper, Michelle Ince and Jane Stohrer 70%+ a-g's. Tristan Keates and Kay Martin got new pb's at Druridge Bay as did Chloe Turner at Redcar. Striders too at York, Highbury Fields, Durham, Newert (Forest of Dean), Cotsford Fields, Blyth Links and Peel (Salford). Just seen Gail's report on the Thirsk 10 miler. Looks like we had a great turnout with 30 odd members running. Hope you enjoyed the event. PJ

It was the final cross-country of the season on Sunday. More on that later. For Saturday's parkrun's 27 Striders chose Albert - where Glenn Cooper and Phil Baines were feeling the need for speed. Both came away with all-course personal bests. Nice work chaps. Simon Russell and Stevie Cooper got 70%+ age-gradings. Elsewhere, Hartlepool saw Sarah Cotton also get an all-course pb. Well done Sarah. Helen and Daniel Mcilvenny recorded pb's at Sedgefield. Helen was 2nd lady to finish. Craig Nelson and Chloe turner got new pb's at Darlington South Park as did Mike Cleasby at Jubilee.  Suzanne Brodie completed what could possibly be the first ever Japanese parkrun for a Strider. Suzanne's run at the Futakotamgawa event in Tokyo was followed by the Tokyo marathon the next day. Hope…

25 Striders gathered at what looked like a windswept Hartlepool on Saturday. Following on from Michelle's write up - Ian Saul did his 150th parkrun, Stephen Mcneal and Christopher Lovell recorded new pb's and Jane Stohrer got a 70%+ age-grading. Emma Fleming (70%+), Abby Barker (70%+) and Beth Dang were the first three ladies to finish. Emma also reached the 100-parkrun milestone. Tom Marrs was third finisher.  Elsewhere, David Murphy had a run at Castlehaven, Co Cork and Faye Buckton did Centennial in Sydney. Striders too at Albert, Sedgefield, Stewart, Darlington, Penrith, Rushmoor, Druridge Bay, Northallerton, and Lochend Woods (East Lothian). Thursday training – Tees Barrage

Thursday’s training will be held at the Tees Barrage. All groups will be doing medley sessions which are suitable for all paces. There will be no groups at the club. Please meet at the Tees Barrage parkrun start at 6:25 - where the red circle is below for anyone who’s not been. Booking will be via GymCatch as usual. Don’t forget if you park in the Talpore carpark you need to put your number in or you can park in the one before the Talpore.

A large group of Striders gathered at the Tees Barrage on Saturday. It was to reminisce about the good old days and run the old parkrun route again. Conditions were perfect and an enjoyable run ensued. A few stayed on for drinks at the Talpore afterwards. Dave Fender - undisputed King of the Barrage - failed his fitness test and was unable to attend. Elsewhere, Jane Stohrer and Tom Ramsey produced exceptional runs at Hartlepool. Jane (70%+ age-grading) recorded an all-course pb. Tom also got an all-course pb in a speedy sub-19-minute time. Great work folks.
