Winter arrives

Home / Run reports / Winter arrives

Winter arrived at parkrun this weekend and the fresher conditions clearly suited a lot of people with PBs galore.

Our biggest turnout, 17, was at Albert park with a couple of first timers and PBs for Tracy Bradburn, Veronica Taylor, Michelle Hart and Helen McIlvenny. Sarah Winter did her difficult second parkrun whilst at the same time starting her tourism quest.

Segdefield saw nine Striders, four as first timers including Mike Cleasby as he bagged his 17th different location. Rachel Carr and Antony Hamling PB’ed.

Stewart park hosted seven Striders, amongst them Adam Potter and Chris Newton appeared to have a close battle and both set PBs. Another close battle saw Ian Howse pipped on the finish straight.

No doubt about tourist of the week – Angela Cox travelled to Fountains Abbey for the first time.
